Hi Guy's, I have taken the stroll quite a few times in the last week and things have been quiet. When it got cold, I'd occasionally even let her and her GF sleep in my apartment. Then one night, for no good reason at all, they robbed me. I found about $400 worth of items missing the next morning including a CD player, PS2 games, etc. All stuff they thought I would not notice for a while, but I certainly did. When confronted, they denied it, then they each took me aside and blamed each other, etc. Needless to say they were not my guests again.
Since then I've said that your average SW is a person who could find a winning lottery ticket, but because they wanted a smoke _right now_ they'd roll it up and burn it. And then cry about it later. It makes sense if you think about it. If they had any self-control, they would not be doing drugs or walking the streets.
I have no advice to offer; after all, we choose to play this game, and it has its risks. I've had many SWs in my apartment since (though not sleeping over if not in my bed!) , and could easily have been robbed again. You do have my mutual sympathy. It's sad on so many levels, especially since the girls are likely kicking themselves later for what they did and wishing they hadn't. Some of us are pretty good friends to them before getting burned.
