I picked up this WSW (only into white in those days, was I dumb, lots of ASW, BSW, LSW, good looking and cheep) , and took her to 5 story walk up hotel. I agree it's all relative. In 1968, after my 2nd tour in Nam, I was stationed at Camp Pendleton and used to come up to Hollywood looking for SW's.

Back then Sunset was my favorite drag. You could find any color in the rainbow starting from Vermont all the way to Doheny, and there was one or more on almost every block. The further west you went, the further up the price scale AND the quality. But, back then even the high quality SWer's were only about $25 for FS.

I started in the 90's and there were sometimes too many girls. If you pulled up to a corner, you couldn't get the one you wanted to stray from the herd. Sometimes you couldn't even get a good look because they were all huddled together instead of out on display. You could afford to be picky, and I think the girls even tried harder because there was so much competition. It was rare to drive around half the night and not find anything worth taking a chance on. Now, I can't hardly get motivated to make a drive downtown because the quality is shit, the quantity is near zero, and LAPD is looking to bust your ass. Had the day off so went on a stroll down the jw track around 6ish and it was pretty much dead, besides a chubby LSW in a skirt and a dirty sweater, and a thick LSW in white sweatpants who got picked up.
