Went to Crystal in Monroe last week and was underwhelming. She was very skinny, wearing a loose fitting t shirt and sweatpants. Massage was ok but finish was very mechanical. She said more was available on the menu but not sure I would be interested given the effort on the finish. This is a bit of a departure from the usual posts on this forum. It doesn't have to do directly with AMP's in the Danbury area, as much as it has to do with life in general. So I hope this gets published. I recently turned an age where I figured it was time to take a look at my life and what I was going to do for the few remaining years of work / non-work life.
I work for a university in the area. It's considered a liberal institution, but believe me, they squeeze their employees as much as any regular business. I've been trying to move up in the organization, and was putting in 60-hour weeks for as long as I can remember. This past year I told my department that I'd had enough. That I needed to get off the treadmill. They didn't take me seriously, and there was always a bit of disrespect for the work I did. Two months ago I decided it was time to act, and sent out my resume to a couple of jobs (within the univ.) that were 2 to 3 steps below my current level. They were also union jobs (this is not a critique / promotion of unions), and they were strictly 40-hour work weeks. No late nights and no weekends. I am now working one of those jobs, and am happy. I took a big pay cut, but my hourly rate went up. And I have my life back.
I have also been married for 30+ years. That was another change I made. Although I still live with my wife (I sleep in the basement), she and I are done. Not many of my family / friends know about this, but I will eventually make a clean break from her. Like my work situation, it took a while for me to realize she wasn't working for me either. She didn't have my best interests in mind, and there was no intimacy. She thought she could continue to squeeze and I would just continue to take it. She thought that this was going to be our life, till death (most likely mine) do us part. Well that shit has all stopped now. Better late than never.
Long story short, You Only Live Once. I don't believe in heaven or hell or any of that other BS. So my advice to all is that if it isn't working for you Get The Fuck Out. Find something / someone that does work for you. That for me is where SN comes in. It works for me for now. I don't play golf, go to football games, concerts, etc. I don't have a boat, fancy car or big house. I've paid for all of my kids university education ($100 k+). Bought my kids cars, etc. Now it's my turn. I go to SN every couple of weeks or so, and I consider it Money Well Spent (MWS). No regrets. When it no longer works for me, I'll find something else.

Peace of mind and quality of life are more important than people realize. There's also an old saying that no one has ever said on their death bed "gee, I wish I'd spent more time at the office."
Can't comment on your marriage situation as that's a personal situation, but I can point out that divorce is not the end of the world and is no longer considered to be the embarrassment / sign of failure that it was in the 1950's and 1960's. When you do make that next move, I predict you'll feel a great weight lifted off your shoulders and you'll be doing your wife a favor as well.
