This board is beginning to look like another board where canine's hang out. Please, this isn't the place to defend or step up for providers. Simply relay your personal experiences, and help make this as safe of a hobby as possible.

It doesn't do any benefit to be-little someone for their opinion on a provider. In the same token, it does no benefit to talk down about a provider. You can get the same accompliched without ever crossing that bridge:

I am never going to meet with EP. She is obviously well reviewed, and good at what she does. However, "In My Opinion" she is overpriced for the service she provides. Therefore, she does not get my business. That doesn't mean if someone was interested in the services she provides I wouldn't mention her.


Again, please cut the drama out of this board. It makes it quite difficult for normal hobbyist to enjoy the board for it's intended purpose.

~Levi[/QUOTE]This board is a community, therefore whose to say it's not a place to step up for others? Of course, you're entitled to your opinion but mine is. Stepping up is one of the actions that are taken in a community. And, unfortunately, so is drama. I'm sure everyone would be glad to see the drama go, although less entertained; but, when you bring together a wide array of different personalities, drama is sure to lurk around the corner.

Most of the drama starts because someone, usually a man, bashes a provider for her rates or something else he doesn't like about her instead of just not visiting her, etc. I highly doubt you'll be able to control that to reduce the drama and it's likely something you'll have to learn to live with around here. I'm not being mean, just stating the facts.

I suppose bashing someone because you're offended by their rates could be considered "relaying your personal experience" although it's an ugly, unnecessary, way to do it and for every action there is a reaction. Stepping up in defense of another. Or yourself.

I don't plan on leaving this board anytime soon and if I see someone attack me or any other person, you can bet I'm likely going to step up. Some people love it, some people hate it but one lesson I've learned in life is that you can never please everyone.

There doesn't seem to be much, in my opinion, belittling of someone because of their opinion of a provider. It's more like telling someone they are very wrong for the way they spoke to, or about, a provider because it's usually that person doing the belittling. That bridge is consistently crossed around here and many people have expressed that there is no need for that, over and over and over, but it continues.

But thank you for expressing your opinion about my rates in a non-belittling way. That's not how one's rates are usually commented on around here and I think you'd find some of the drama cut out if it were. So, I appreciate that. I can accept that I'm not everyone's cup of tea for one reason or another. Again, I'm aware that I can never please everyone. Although I seem to do fairly well at pleasing most of my 'friends' =) (ummm, no pun intended, ha).

Some of us enjoy 'hanging out' here and I doubt that will change anytime soon either. This is a "forum" which, yes is primarily for sharing hobby information, but most of the discussions had here are hobby-related in some form or fashion; even if it's in the form of defending someone because someone else has wrongfully attacked them for their "hobby" rates or what-have-you.

I agree that the "drama" should be kept to a minimum and the dawg site is a perfect example why that is true. However, to have an intelligent provider like EP contributing to the forum is a very good thing and should be encouraged! I think far more here appreciate her and her thoughts than do not. I apologize if I have stepped on any of EP's "friends" toes. I think EP understands my point probably more than most of her supporters. EP and I are mature enough to agree to disagree, and I wish her the best!!
