If you have a wingman, it can be good to visit with him and break apart or re-join as the situation warrants. I use to have a few really good wingman, but they are out of the "game" now unfortunately. So yes, about 90% of my visits have been solo in recent years.
You also need not feel obligated to spend a lot or really amount of money at the clubs. Many times, I have only spent on a cover & 1 drink before leaving.

Four extra beers for the same $40.

To your point, it is possible that every single dancer there is someone's GF and has "limits", but I wouldn't know.

I've been seeing a girl at FC since about September, she was 20 when I first met her, told me all about her boyfriend and how he knew she danced there, even dropped her off some days, but she told him guys paid her to hang out and talk. I have a friend who dances and she NEVER done extras. She understands she's losing out on money, but she enjoys dancing and just doing lap dances in the VIP.
Yes, we all doubt them when they say, No Extras. But there are some, who are very attractive, that can survive on not compromising themselves and able to get by on the little money they make.
If you want extras, you just move on.
Otherwise, you can just have fun with some sexy lap dances, from a Hottie.

I always wondered how someone could so easily draw an imaginary line in their head for their GF's behavior as a dancer. It doesn't take a genius to get that they are probably doing more than just dance, if they're bringing home the proverbial bacon. Don't want to know how they got it, don't ask.
Or get a real job yourself and offer to support her so she doesn't have to dance. Now there's a novel idea.

First most girls do extras.
Second most girls when they start don't plan to be doing extras.
Every club has some girls who only dance. It could be they only work a few days or few weeks, or they can actually make enough money just dancing because, they have another job, they live with their parents, they live with their boyfriend.
Every club has some girls who will do FS with any guy.
In between there is a whole range of girls. There are girls who only do HJ, who only do BJ, who only do CBJ, who do FS with only a hand full of guys who are their regulars.
When girls first start dancing they are typically shocked and revolted by the things guys ask them to do and for the money they are offering.
As they get socialized those things become less shocking, and frequently the money is needed for people who can't or won't hold down a job flipping burgers or folding sweaters.
One of the most enjoyable activities is taking a non extras girl and getting to be her first BJ or her first FS.
