Scammed AFTER the first meet?
Well, I seem to have been scammed AFTER having already met up with this SB previously. This is with an SB I met on SDM last month. After messaging, we had a phone call to chat, then a Facetime a few days later, before planning an in-person meet. Everything was settled as far as boundaries and ppm. On that day she was supposed to drive to me but her work ran long (nail tech) and she asked if I could drive to her place. I did so and we had a relatively okay time there, even if her menu was limited for our first time.
Well, tonight was supposed to be her visiting my place. Time was agreed upon and then she wanted to get outfits to try for me (I could care less about outfits). She kept me updated on her ETA, then texted me later to say she stopped for gas. She asked if I could "help a girl out with this". I said that I don't send money in advance since I've been scammed like that once before. She replied back "How can I possibly scam you babe we've met already? So yep, you guessed it, I sent her funds for gas.
She sent me a picture of her POV on the freeway, to indicate she was back on the road, but a 45 minute ETA turned into 2 hours. And then this:
"I got pulled over and they towed the car because my license isn't good anymore OMG 😭128549; can you come get me my mom can't come I called my sister she said she might be able to please ill send you the address".
I mean. WTF?!
Missed opportunity I guess!
YES, they drive around for months / years without license plates, expired tags, no insurance, busted lights - just begging to get pulled over. I think you missed an opportunity to be the hero.
I think you should reach out and offer to Uber her to you.
Or send me her profile and I'll let you know how it goes!
Yeah, I get the appeal to be the hero, but nah! This seemed like way too much drama to get into that late into the evening, way past when we were initially planning to meet up anyway. I have several other SB's that I'm seeing so I'm also not approaching this specific person from a scarcity mindset.
