After a lot of talking to this girl I was hopeing there would be some hope for her. After a short meet I found out she had problems. I reported about her room mates. Was it just the guy, because there is more than one person there.
I took a chance and attempted seeing this provider. I know that sending a deposit is a bad idea but I had a little extra time and money on my hands and decided on the spur of the moment that I wanted to see someone and was willing to take the chance. I first noticed her post with my cell phone while out in my car and did not take the time to search her pictures or phone number. That was my first mistake but it's not been very good in Wilmington lately and l was hoping there might be something there. So I decided on a whim to take the chance. After the first text response from her, text messages from her began coming back immediately and she indicated that anytime was okay. I think possibly that I should have recognised that as a red flag. She asked for a deposit with cash app. That was a definite red flag but I liked her pictures and decided to take the chance. I asked about a half hour and she immediately came back with a response encouraging me to get an hour. I sent the deposit and she sent the location of the hotel that she said she was at and told me to text her for the room number from the parking lot. This was one of the nicer and slightly more expensive hotels in town. Not even close to Market St. That was possibly another red flag. I drove over to the hotel and texted her from the parking lot asking about the room number. She responded by telling me that she did not accept cash transactions with clients. She wanted me to send the balance of her donation with cash app before sending the room number. I responded that I had it in cash and could give it to her in person. I also asked her if this was a deposit scam. She said that it was not but that she was concerned about her safety. She then offered to give me the room number before I sent the balance. At that point I had no assurance that she was actually at the hotel that she sent me to or that I was exchanging texts with who I was led to believe that I was. Sending the rest of the donation amount at this point would not only have been outside the realm of taking a reasonable chance but also just plain stupid.
I immediately put up the "Deposit Scam" post to this forum (post # 2871 on 10/21/20) with my cell phone because I did not anyone else to loose a "deposit" with her. I thought that anyone considering trying to see her should know what happened.

Something similar happened to me last year around this time (not in Wilmington).
