As she had always been upstanding and is a really nice person this was no issue (adhering to the old adage don't loan money if you can't afford to lose it). Like clockwork the money was repaid and my faith in her maintained.
As is the case with providers they hit dry spells and often find themselves in need. It occurred again that assistance. I was willing to help out once again. A couple of days went by and I was informed that due to an illness of some sort she had been unable to work and was unable to repay but she promised that she would get me the money. Shortly thereafter something else had come up and she was once again need of money. Now at this point I'm out a bit of cash and figure I can double down and hope to get it all back or walk away from the initial investment. Gee, which way do you think this idiot went? To make a long story short this provider no longer returns any of my calls or texts. Is this my own fault? Absolutely! There is no one to blame but myself. I'm not upset with this provider and never have been. Would I like to either have my money back or at least a repayment in services, sure! Anyhow, to sum it up.
1. If you think you have a "friendship" with a provider I can pretty much guarantee you are more committed to it than they are no matter how nice they are.
2. Don't loan money you can't afford to give away.
3. Be prepared for the provider to bail on you even if you aren't upset about the situation. Loaning money is a sure way to lose a friend.

Not a true GFE without Dfk but I would give her high marks in several areas.
