Exercise, Loose Weight, Eat Right
As part of my efforts to get some Sildenafil, I had to know my blood pressure (BP). Got that for free by the pharmacist at a Walgreens. Had no idea what the number meant so looked it up on line and found this credible source:

What shocked me was that recently the BP guidelines have changed and now what was "normal" before is now Stage 1 Hypertension. Since Hypertension can be a cause of ED and has shown to cause dementia later in life, I took note!
As others have noted, getting in shape can help one avoid the ED meds. I got the ED pills and it worked for me, but due to some recent issues I was dealing with had let myself go. Not something I planned, it just happens to some of use when dealing with major life stressers.
I started paying attention to salt intake, a factor in high BP. One can of soup was one-half a day's allotment of Sodium! Ramen noodles? Forget it! Eat the whole packet and you have exceeded daily intake by nearly double.
Anyway, started walking for 30-min per day, avoiding the salt shaker and eating more fruit instead of candy bars. In just a couple of weeks I shed a few pounds and noticed a difference in my sexual health: was able to get started with out a pill.
Still use the Sildenafil when tired or when I want to insure multiple rounds, but don't depend on it as a kick-starter anymore. So consider some small lifestyle changes as an additional step to help with ED. Sure worked for me!
