I've been driving around just killing time just prior to dusk one night. I had been to her family's place in Quincy many times, and helped her move to Dorchester. Even though I wasn't doing dates with her, we still talked often. It's sad that we are all surprised she is still living and anticipating her demise. I got to know her fairly well. She is a really nice woman, but with mental health and addiction issues. She has a daughter she adores and dreamed of someday being reunited with her. Makes you wonder what could have been.

If I could find her, and if she was willing, I'd pay for her rehab. I just don't know how far gone is too far gone. Can she even come back from this? Or is it just a matter of time at this point?
