Also, I would imagine that their nomad lifestyle makes it hard to keep track of personal items. That and the fact that they do hang out with some of the most prolific thieves known to man must make keeping a phone a little hard.
When you think of it, for these girls, owning a phone may not be the convenience that we think it should be. I would imagine that girls with phones get a large number of crank calls. How would the average girl on the street weed out the crack pots, bullshitters and LE. Few independents keep a phone. Most girls who have phones also have pimps or handlers.

Cruising the B this AM spotted a nice looking brunette / black hair working the corner of B and Division. NICE C rack otherwise slim build, but not skin and bone. 9 on the face.
