It's great you got your money back but you now have a paper trail between you and a provider. You've just lost plausible deniability.

Deleting your account is meaningless, any business has to keep records of credit card and electronic transactions for 7 years by law and your bank will have a record, too. I would suggest you never use anything but cash in this hobby for your own long-term safety. Sure, you can lose cash and that sucks but it would suck worse to get your name in the paper.

NEVER deal with a provider in any way that can lead directly back to you.
