I find it interesting that after a peiod of time has gone by from first favoriting someone on seeking that they change what state they are in. Best I can figure is that those that do such are quite likely an out-of-country scammer.

Wow that mirrors an experience I had with a profile by the name LolaLayne. Messaged, expressed interest in meeting up and then deactivated account. Suddenly popped up as being in Denver a few days ago.

Asked for a verification pic, she sent several, looked nice and told her I was heading out. About 20 minutes into the drive she said she wanted to be honest and up front. She was only 17 and her birthday is the 29th of the month. She said she would even show her I'd before getting out of her car. Stated she loves older guys and her last boyfriend was 40. She then told me that she doesn't like or have interest in using rain coats and she I'd definitely not on bc.
Told her I wasn't interested at that point and she continued to text asking for me to come see her and tried calling several times. This morning noticed her profile was gone.

It's too risky and not worth the hassle if she's actually legitimate (even one month out is dangerous), and it's also too risky because it could be a sting.

I didn't report this one, but I have reported in the past if somebody claims to be under 18. I think the most likely outcome is a blackmail scam. I doubt it's police work. This seems like a really inefficient use of police efforts. Regardless, I don't see any good outcome for anyone getting into this interaction.

The other number left a voicemail message and hour after I ignored all of the calls, claiming to be a police detective saying that I needed to urgently call them back or otherwise a police warrant would be filed against me. I also received a text from that same other number saying that "warren's would be filed against you. " The next day I got a message from the number she gave me claiming that the detective had filed a warrant for my arrest and that I would pay for what I supposedly did to their family. So, it's 100% a blackmail scam/extortion operation going on, so all mongers be careful and don't give any to any demands for cash, etc. I'm sure these people will show up again under a different profile or multiple ones.
Edit: also, be sure not to give out your real name, your address, anything of the sort. It goes without saying of course, as you don't want to give these people any more ammunition to actually do some real damage to you or your personal life. Luckily, I don't give out my real name or anything of the sort, so their threats were empty.

When I asked if she just wanted to meet there she flipped out. Even though she mentioned a hotel first. I think she wants to go out to lunch or do a proper meet and great. Which I would have done but wasn't given the chance. The hotel thing has gotten a bit tricky as ones that used to let me just pay cash now want a credit card. So you can find one with virtual check in. Use a prepaid credit card or a gift card and set it up with a fake name. That may work. I have been traveling for work so lately I have stuck to out of state where I already have a room.
