Spotted Nikky and Tiffany sitting around this past weekend but thought I would cruise the avenue to see if anything was new. After about an hour later after grabbing some linch, decided to drive back and saw this shapely looking long black haired chick hanging out by the steps on a sidestreet. I stopped and she hopped in, introduced herself as Nicky. When I told her that I met the other Nikki before (who she knows along with Tiffany), she said I could call her Nicole. Drove around for a bit as it was hard to find a good spot. Picked up Mandy on K-ave on Thursday. If you see her, you'll know – she dresses pretty punk with a lip ring and narrow glasses. I'm always up for something different, so I stopped for her. When she got in, she didn't look quite as good as from the car (they never do), but was OK. She was very thin, though.

About a block from the pick-up, an LE SUV came up behind me. For a second, I thought they must've seen the pick-up and were going to hassle me. Before I said anything, Mandy told me to turn right as soon as I could. Good for her for being alert. I did take the next right and they continued straight.

We found a good spot and negotiated a CBJ for .3. She didn't ask for the money up front, which is getting uncommon. I don't pay up front, but it's nice not to have to have that conversation.

The Liberty Hotel is on Germantown Avenue above Allegheny. I have never been inside. From the outside it looks like a dump. The neighborhood surrounding the Liberty appears promlematic but it is most likely no worst then that around the “K.”

The Carlisle Hotel is on Poplar St, between 15th and 16th Streets. Again, I have never been inside. The outside was recently remodeled. Looking at the area outside and it seems at a glance, safer then most. There is a rehab center on one corner and a large operating church on the other.

There is another, hourly rate hotel near 52nd street, a few blocks south of Girard Avenue. The Blue Moon Hotel was a favorite of mind in my youth. The rooms were clean and the sheets changed after each visit. On a few occasions, when our time was up, we were met at the room door by a lady/maid ready to come in and clean the room. However, this was a lot of years ago and things may have changed. The neighborhood outside is the least scary of those that I have mentioned.

Because I have my own place to visit in the city, I have no need to visit the area short stay places. When I am in NJ, I avoid the trip back to my place by going to one of the short stay places off of Rt. 130. I know a few guys travel from the “K.” to NJ with their dates. All things considered, it’s may possibly be the best idea to travel to NJ. The rates are competitive and the time (3hrs) is better.

If you’ll agree to meet with me, the problem is solved – we’ll go back to my place.

A couple of senior members and I are planning a daytrip to Philly. Having out of state plates does not help. I was wondering about the general LE presence/attitudes in Philly vs. Camden. In other words, if the worst came true and one of us got pulled over, on which side would we be more likely to be let go? I know from experience that LE attitude can vary tremendously across state (or even county!) boundaries. Also, which state carries stiffer penalties?

one of the great members of this board.[/QUOTE]With the exception of Wallingford who actually does post some useful reports from time to time, if you add up the number of actual mongering reports made by the handful of CookyJar's Philly-based critics, I don't think the number would total more than 10-15. And I'm not joking about that number. I really think it's about right, maybe even an overestimate.

Next to Wallingford, Ed Norton has probably made the most posts about actual SWs among CJs critics and he didn't make very many. BTW I see Norton seems to be spending time in San Diego these days, home of our old friend Hizark.

It's hard for me to believe that anybody who actually does this stuff for real (picks up SWs) could not love CJ's contributions. Like Davey and a few others, I have posted hundreds of pickup reports over the years. But I've tapered off on my reporting lately too. Some of it is because I'm doing a bit less mongering, but the other reason is as Davey says the garbage, pointlessly antagonistic posts like the one by Coconut Puke just make this an unpleasant place to hang out.

If you've got new or better information about something, go ahead and state it but there's no reason to do it by trying to make some big show of attacking the guy that most real mongers agree is USASexGuide's top poster, our MVP, our first ballot Hall of Famer.
