I took a drive through my usual route last night around 9 and I did not see so much as on SW. I did see plenty of LE and I think that something may have happened in the area. At one point I saw 4 officers walking through the neighborhood. Given recent posts I might consider taking a drive out of town and will report if I happen to find anything good.

The City of Raleigh has a big push right now to clean up certain neighborhoods. The Haywood/Martin area has been recognized as a trouble area and they allocated over $500,000 to step up patrols and clean area up. They are getting ready to do some real estate development in the area. I was working the other day and 4 LE's came by on bikes with an unmarked cruiser about 5 minutes behiind them. Be careful!

Does any one here use any online dating sites? My experience has been disappointing. Back in 06 I 1st signed up with a site and was successful meeting a woman online. We emailed back and forth for a while, then we talked on the phone. She only lived a hour away so I found some excuse to get out of the house for a while and go see her. While I have never used a paid dating site, I've actually had decent luck on Craigslist, if you can believe that. You just have to learn how to "spot the bot". There are tons. But if you peruse the ads on a regular basis, there are real people on there looking to get freaky on the side.
Over the last two years I've met two different "friends with benefits", and met one swinging couple where the wife wanted two guys at once. The key is, if you respond to an ad, you can't be too aggressive and you have to be very easy-going and charming.
On another note, I've got some recent reviews to quickly get in.

Robert is correct. If you can surf through all the garbage on CL Casual Encounters, Women Seeking Men and Platonic there can be an occasional gem to be found.
Helpful hint - basically throw out anything where the "location" listed doesn't seem right. Either it appears too often in the listings, or is not specific enough. In other words "raleigh" (lowercased) or "butner/creedmoor/stem" or "parkstone drive" are currently the bot locations of choice.
Hint #2 - this probably doesn't need to be said but if the tag line of the post says "21" and inside the ad it states she is "24" ... I mean most girls know their own age right?
I've had on and off success CL. Met a few short and long term FWB's - some single; some married. Met a few one-time hook-ups. It's definitely a needle-in-a-haystack situation but free is free.
One last piece of advice if you answer a CL ad - be honest, polite and use proper grammar. Tell them your marriage status, accurate age, accurate description, etc.. Thank them for reading your reply and ask them if you can provide any more info to them. It's amazing how a little kindness can get you laid, boys.

I have been a long time lurker and previous member with a couple of posts under the name Lookn4sum. Have not been in the area for the last 18 mos. And re-joined as I had lost my previous info.
I mention this so that some credibility would be given this report. On Hoke St. About 10: 30 I picked up a BSW. Thin, petite build, pulled back hair, and steel rim glasses (granny glass style) small chest, I would guess late 20's. She wanted me to go onto Bragg St. To go to "her place". I declined, I never exit vehicle off my own, or at least neutral turf.
We parked in a discrete location, and after money had passed hands, she asked if I had a condom. As I reached into my back pocket for one, she produced a knife. My attention was on her, not my pocket, so I saw it immediately. Folder, with blade open. When she saw I could see the knife and she was not in a position to get it to me without a reaction, she said she just had it on her side, and would put it away. She put it somewhere by her leg, where I could not see it.
At this point I told her to keep the money and get out of my vehicle. She did not do so, trying to explain that she wasn't going to try anything. I told her I was nervous and she needed to go. She then asked me if I had a gun.
For me, that was it. I quickly got out the driver's door and told her to get out of the car and leave, in a forceful voice. While I did not produce a gun, she evidently thought I had one and got out, backing up. I got back in, shut the passenger door, and de-assed the area.
Guys, the little voice in the back of my head (the other one, not the little one) was letting me know something was wrong with this situation from jump street. This is the first time I have seen this particular BSW, I do not think that she is a regular (at least not for me), perhaps someone else knows her. I think that there was a strong possiblity that I could have been robbed or injured had things gone a little differently about, and I should have listened more closely to that little voice and just gotten her out of the care sooner. I am not a kid, been around the block a few times, and been in and out of the hobby for years. This is the only time I have felt threatened by a SW.
I apologize for the length of this message, however I feel the content warrants it. If anyone else has had an encounter with this SW let me know if I was over reacting, but I do not believe I was.

Prowl. First, congrats on getting out of what could have been a real jam. I think that in this hobby, you just have to rely on two things- your gut instinct, and known quantities from whatever intel you can pick up.
There are many girls that I could pick up when I cruise, but few that I do. Those who I don't stop for somehow set off my radar as risky. This can get set off by anything from a harder-edged look, to being too cracked out, to not hanging with or near the other known providers. Most of the "reputable" girls all know each other.
And sources of intel like this board certainly help. There are girls that I have specifically sought out based on stuff I read here.
But I do stand by my assertion that this hobby is safer than most people think. The providers need customers to come to the store. We won't do that if there are high risks to our safety. It's really all economics.
I have only managed a few trips downtown this past month. Both time there seemed to be a slew of LE and only a few SWs. I have had my day in court and paranoia serves me well so I was really surprised when several blocks out of the fray I meet Vicky. She is a bit loaded but it is drunk not whacked on crack loaded and we agree to head out of the city to my place (which is quite surprising). It was an absolutely wonderful time. I am new to the site and just new in general. I had a couple questions and am hoping for some advice. I have been following CL for a while and keep coming across girls who send you to their site on Bella Models for verification. I don't like the idea of giving out CC info so I have not tried it. Prowler: Darn sure glad you got yourself out of that situation. Secondly we all have to realize that whe you are in this hobby you are gonna face some tough customers. These SW's are hardened by the life they live. I for sure think this one was gonna try and jack and rob you once you got the little prowler as it were out, and were vunerable. I think it is safe to say you did the right thing. I have run into several situations over the years, sort of like this, and at the first inkling of any type of trouble, I tell the SW to get the F%%%% out of my vehcile, and if they don't leave I make them leave. Some of the ladies are ok, but all of them are only to be trusted when you have your eyes on them. I think we would all agree on that. Think of it fellas, they have nothing to lose by doing whatever they are gonna do, and alot of us don't need the hassle that would happen from them doing something. The bottom line is I guess "get them" before they "Get You" and I am saying that strictly from the vein of protecting yourself physically and I am in no way advocating agression without direct provocation. Just be smart, and be in it to win it and not just to finish.
