The G-town AMPs were my first too. Jade's was easily the best of them...had a great encounter there one time with a girl who called herself "M & M"...anyone remember her? She may have been around the last year they were in business.
I was even adventurous enough, or perhaps reckless, to try the one behind the police station (was Osaka the name?). It was a total waste of time, however, as a TS, sauna, and massage was all that was offered.
There was another one in Washington Square I tried just once...got nothing but a HJ by a girl who claimed she was on the rag. I didn't bother to ask why the hell she was working at all.
A couple of those places are Mexican groceries now. It's a shame, especially about Jade's.
I too remember the G-town spots, and had some awesome times at both the old places there. Also have a very fond rememberance of a place in Lexington that actually had some non-asian gals. Being a long time Richmondite. Plenty of memories here as well. RE: Fuji. The older gal we're all referring to is the "part time but usually there" mamasan that runs the place. In the absence of the rainbow. I have frequented there a bit, and if you're lucky enough to catch any of the other gals that travel though, sometimes you get a gem. Though nothing like rainbows quality.
Interestingly enough, the mamasan turned me away about a month ago, said "you touchy to much" LOL. Ya gotta love that. I think she must be strung out now or something. I did make the plunge earlier this week and stopped by and a new face greeted me at the door and provided decent enough service, and definitely better looking than "mama". YMMV!

Yet the Fuji is still in business after ripping-off and shaking-down its customers. How do you explain this?? Hello!? Is there any LE listening?? Same reason they keep the jails stocked with sw's who are too poor to stuff some lieutenant's pockets. I went to Cowboy's one time and LE was all over the parking lot. I asked the bouncer what was going on and he said they have been coming around harrassing customers lately, and I thought huh oh sombody forgot to pay the bill. The manager overheard him tell me that and came over and told the bouncer "dont worry I'll take care of it". So about 30 minutes later lo and behold I see a cop walk in the back door, with stripes halfway down his sleeve, straight to the managers office. He was there only about 2 minutes and I swear on everything that is holy he had an envelope in his hand when he left. Birthday card maybe? I've never seen another cop in that parking lot since. You fill in the blanks. Same thing happened to Rainbow.

With no more AMPs in Lexington, and then only close one in Richmond, I thought I'd add to the rememberences thread. Then again, I may have imagined all this.
In Lexington there were at one time 4 or 5 AMPs running. This would be late 80's early 90's. On Winchester Road, Yoshiko's and Hong Kong Spa. There was a Sara at Yoshiko's and one or two at Hong Kong that I liked. The other hot spot was New Circle Road. Tokyo and Evergreen. Miko at Evergreen (long, long black hair) she was there maybe from 1999-2000. Also Maya was at Evergreen as the mamasan, but would help out customers, too. There was another AMP close to Siam restaurant, and another by a Pizza Hut on New Circle Road. At one of those there was a girl named Susie (long black hair) who was great. I always sought out the long-haired ones as you can probably tell :) Anyone remember a King's Spa behind the Greyhound bus terminal on New Circle? Good place to go.
Another AMP on Eastland Pkwy close to New Circle, but I never went there as it closed after a short time.
VIP spa in Nicholasville on Central Ave. near The Boot Store. Checked it out once, a hot college-age girl was there but was busy. Never got another chance at that one, though.
Georgetown was always reliable. Osaka spa (yep, next to the police station) was always a guaranteed good time. Bonnie (later changed her name to June, was known as June while at King's in Lexington) was a little heavyset but was great. I asked her once if the cops ever came to visit and she said yes - as customers! There was another one or two spas in Georgetown back then, a bit further down Main Street on a side street I think next to a billiards hall. Went there once or twice.

The girl that runs Fuji is actually really nice and good looking, she's giving me several on the house but I don't think she does anything now unless you ask for her. Are you sure that the Rainbow is open? The only Rainbow I know of closed down quite some time ago...a year or more I think. It was one of the best! Is it open again?

You just have to use your radar and feel your way. This is a good time for getting more out of some strippers. I have heard several say the money is drying up in the clubs. I don't know if it is just a cycle or if the economy is that bad, or what. If they are not making their money in the usual way, dances and drinks, there is a better chance of getting extras.
