Because of the murder in Boston, the MA Attoney General has put a lot of pressure to bear on Criagslist. They have shut down the Erotic section and started the Adult section. The fee to post is $10 and it will be manually proofread before posting to make sure it adheres to certain rules.
This will greatly reduce the postings but hopefully filter out a lot of the riffraff.

Craigslist permanently shut down the erotic section due to pressure from about 40 state attorney generals.
Craigslist is opening a new adult services section that will be monitored by both Craiglist and various attorney generals offices. So CL is dead for any sex ads.
