I have only couple of weeks of experience but I can tell you what I do. Try to make eye contact, if she is SW, she will give you a smile or wave.
When they do this, if possible, take the turn on the first side street and make sure she noticed that. If you give her a good look, SW will notice what you do. Once you are on a side street, wait for her to come to you.

The type of pictures don't really matter, most important I think is a photo for visual recognition, making it easier for people to recognize and put a face with a review.
