I call paypal to resolve this. They say they sided with her and cannot help me. There is no protection for personal transactions. Paypal wants me to cover this overdraft.

So she scammed me out of $600. Don't ever do this. I feel so stupid now.

Paypal has screwed me a couple of times too. One time I bought something online and it turned out to be fraud but they wouldn't get my money back saying it was a service. A service I never got. Another time I sold something on ebay and the guy claimed it was defective and demanded a return. I sent Paypal a receipt where I just got the item serviced and documented everything was working fine but it did me no good. I ended up getting it back anyway. Even though on the ad I clearly stated what the return policy was and he was outside it. I got it back and reposted it and sold it again and never heard any complaint from the new buyer. Paypal claims this buyer protection crap but it is totally one sided and no way to challenge them if they get it wrong. I will not use them any more than I have to. What you done makes perfect sense. You seen the money come into your account and thought everything was cool. I probably would have done the same thing. Maybe they will catch on to her if she pulls this scam too many times. Sorry this happened to you but thanks for sharing the story so some us don't fall for the same trick.

I've been seeing her for months and not once have I ever given her the money up front. There have been times where I've had to go back and pay her because I forgot to. I learned the hard way a long time ago that if I leave the room my money goes with me. I thought that too. It is easy to confuse. He lost the $300 he gave the girl PLUS the $300 that paypal wants back. Or think of it another way the girl got $300 cash but she got her $300 back from paypal. She took him for $600. I have been screwed a couple of times from Paypal myself. I use them as little as possible. When they make a decision there is no disputing it and it isn't always fair either. Someone could game it like this.
