It's about time! Friday's four, 5-4 votes allowed Hot Tamales, Chocolate City, Crazy Horse and the Duchess Lounge to transfer their permits to new owners. If you wonder what changed their minds. The council approved a payout in June of $500,000 to the owners of downtown's Famous Door II -- now Bouzouki's II -- after the council denied the transfer in 2004. "They realize they are on shaky legal ground," said Brad Shafer, the Zoo Bar's attorney.Shafer's case is pending in U.S. District Court and, he says, it could cost millions. The new owners plan a Hustler strip club at the downtown location on Griswold. This is going to cost the tax payers more money to settle.
I wonder where they will open new clubs at and what type of club they will try to be. Chocolate City and Hot Tamales had some decent black dancers 5-years ago.
Why would City councel would even try to block the sale of these licenses. It said Pastors of churches objected... Churches buy up property all the time. Then, they pay no taxes to their communities and contribute nothing to their neighborhoods. Then they sell off these properties for profit, again, no taxes. The church can by the licenses and destroy them if they are so concerned. I hate self righteous do-gooders (Want everyone else to do what they want).

Girls usually range from 3-8 but a few 9's show up occasionally. You'll get propositioned at the bar, with activity and prices usually freely discussed.
