Eventhough I've never been to the US, I can't see them ever adopting a more liberal approach to prostitution. Not with the huge conservative underbelly that they have.
Am I right in thinking that all states outlaw street workers? And some states have legalised brothels?
My friends and I were planning a roadtrip to the US next year. Is it possible to visit all 50 states in a 3 month period? Anyone?
Sainter, the only state that has legalized prostitution of any kind (brothels) is Nevada, and there only in a couple of areas.
As far as visiting all fifty in three months, you could probably do it if you had the budget and stamina, but that would honestly be quite a stretch. I'm not sure you could really manage driving even to the 48 contiguous ones in that period, as that's less than two days a state and some are fairly large (Texas being slightly smaller than New South Wales.) Given that the US is around 15% larger than the continent of Oz, and pretty much all of it is habitable, that's an awful lot of travel and not much time to experience. You'd be better off picking a smaller number, perhaps by region so you can get a flavor, and spending more time in each. (There's not a truly huge difference between, say, Massachusetts and Rhode Island or North and South Dakota, for example.) I've traveled a fair bit, and there are still a couple of states I've not yet visited.
I can see prostitution being adopted in some areas, and going from there, in the same way gambling spread.

I almost agree with some of the things you say. For example on immigration in the TJ section, but then you go on a wild tangent, off the subject. You say, " Mexicans are hard working people, because, your are married to a Mexican women( poor thing) and you have Mexicans working for you( I would quit) and they do a great job." Then CJ, you go on to say, how the Mexican is a better worker, then Americans. How do you come up with such crap, without supporting your position. Im sure both Mexicans, and Americans, are hard working, but both the illegal and illegal Mexican, lack education and experience to compete in this Country for the highter paying skill jobs,( But I'll save that debate for another time.)

I had a LCD system installed in my P71 crown vic just for that purpose, you should see it -all the lights are in the trunk though because you can't have them exposed on the car. It's enough for me just to know they are ON man.

Ok I got a question for you guys..... I left work tonight and saw a chick hitch hiking down the road so I pulled over and asked where she was going. She said downtown, and even though it was about 15 minutes out of my way, I agreed to take her. A little bit in the ride she asked me if I was interested in sex.... I said no and droped her off where she wanted to be.
As I was leaving the area, a Cop pulled me over and started asking me all the usual questions (Driver's liesence, where I was coming from, what I was doing, etc) and I answered them as I was ask (yes, politely) Then she lays into me about picking up hookers and all that jazz. I politely inform the officer about how the woman came to be in my car, and the fact that she did infact proporsition me, And that I have turned her down.
The cop goes back to her car for about 3 to 5 minutes, then comes back and gives me a little spiel about "the evil hookers of my city" which I politely listen to, before she informs me that she has carded me.
What the heck does "carded" mean? Is this like a listing of my DL and vehicle plate numbers in a local database or other such crap? And should I be worried? (personally I would have to say "no" as the officer can prove nothing other then I let a girl out on a street corner. )
Any info you can tell me or direct me to would be great. I live in Canada BTW....
Don't tell the cop that the SW propositioned you would be a good start. The cop isn't going to believe you for one and it will appear that you are just trying to save your ass.
Also, don't pick up hitch hikers if you want cops to leave you alone. I wouldn't give any stranger a ride, call me funny but I don't trust anyone.

RX, more then likely she was not L.E. Police women working vice, are to scared to get in car's with John's, its just too risky for them that the John will panic, and do something stupid. This is also the reason why they won't catch real mongers.
It sounds like you picked up this women in an area of known for prostitution, and the the cop followed you hoping to catch you in the act. You did the right thing by talking to them, since you really had nothing to hide.
According to CJ a few posts down from this one, he advises that you always answer the cops questions, and be polite. I say, bullshit. If you did something illegal, never ever, admit to it. L.E. thinks everyone is stupid, and will fall for their BS stories, and scare tactics. Its almost like them saying, here is the rope, now go hang yourself. (don't tell them anything)
I believe carded means she put your name in her book and maybe their computer database, and if they catch you with a hooker again, she will come down hard on you, and maybe take your car. I'm really not sure, maybe another poster knows.
If you live in Canada, you have nothing to worry about, unless you come back to town to pickup more hitch hiking SW's.

If she "Carded" you she probably did what's called an "FI" card or "Field Identification" card based on your info. This get's dumped into a database for future reference. You were clearly in a "strange area" and she probably saw you drop the girl off so she wanted to shake you to see what fell out.
If you are stopped in the area again they will have a record of a previous contact with you and this will lead to further questioning. It's harmless and I wouln't worry about it unless you go back to that area looking for SW's. These people are not stupid. They've done this many times and heard every story out there.
Wanna piss the cops off? Do exactly what Poki and GT say. They talk a good fight but they'd be shitting bricks in 2 minutes if they pulled those stunts off in the real world. They know it. Anyone with an ounce of common sense will co-operate. If you're caught, your caught so suck it up and take the hit. If you' not caught then you have nothing to worry about so don't admit to anything just listen politely to the officer and be on your way.
GT indicated in numerous previous posts that he had proof that I was posting under multiple ID's.
When challenged to produce them he backtracks and doublespeaks. The fact is that he lied, he continues to lie and will continue to lie from here on out. He never posted the ID's I was supposedly using, never posted the name of the software program he also lied about that, according to him proves I wrote other posts under other names. The best he can do is to take potshots at Country John because he is exposed and needs to do whatever he can to regain some credibility in this forum.
He claims to have received 22 emails from other members that he never produced nor have 22 other members indicated that they did email him. Why would they not simply say something like "yeah I sent GT an email as he said."
It's all bullshit. The guy is a liar plain and simple. Why is this important? Well, you can't ever believe a liar. How do you know that ANYTHING he posted is true? The truth is you don't so keep that in mind as you read his mndless dribble. Can ANYONE reading this vouch for this guy? Someone out there must be able to give this guy some backup in the credibility department. It would be refreshing to see that he has (or had) a track record of credibility.

It almost sounds like you're writing the X-Files. Conspiracy theories, software that doesn't exist, secret alliances being formed through the PM software, American LE busting mongers in Tijuana, etc. I'd sure like to sample whatever it is that you guys are smoking.The only reason I can see for not naming the software that could nail Country John and vindicate Getting Tang is perhaps he is afraid of getting snared in his own net. I'm trying to understand your position on " cooperating" with L.E.
Your position seems to be from the 70's hit show, Berretta. I believe the mantra was," If you did the crime, then you must do the time". ( something like that)
Why must you cooperative with L.E. if you committed a minor to major crime? What about the 4th, and 5th, Amendments. I realize Ascroft, is trying to turn the U.S. into a totalitarian,fascist state, at least in regards to law and order. I also believe if given the chance the three members of the Supreme Court, Rehnquist, Scalia, and Thomas, are always trying to whittle away our Miranda rights, to remain silent. ( I have nothing but contempt for Thomas)
I realize that L.E, will use every trick in the book, including, lying, yelling, and threating us. I can understand it, even if I don't agree with it. But, what I don't understand, is why can't you politely refuse to answer the L.E. questions, if they have the answers anyway.
Lets take a real example, Oh lets say, Kobe Bryant, Colarado State rape case. According to the facts of the case, Kobe had bent this young girl, over the chair, and at least had rough sex with her. Did he rape her? We don't know yet, but lets say he called, Pokey, and CJ to get advise, because he can't get a hold of his lawyers, and the cops were coming up the stairs.
I as Pokey, would have Kobe, ask why are you being questioned, and as soon as the police say, possibe rape. I would have him politely say, this is a serious charge, I think I need to consult with my attorney before I talk with you. If the cops start with the scare tactics, tell them to get lost in not so nice terms to get the hell away from me, until my attorney can be here.( I understand Kobe's lawyers have made motions of what Kobe said, to the police thrown out, because of his Miranda rights.)
CJ, as I understand your position, you would tell Kobe, the Berretta manta, and say to cooperate with the police, because they know the answers anyway. If you don't cooperate with them, they will get upset, and treat you harshly.
