More people have gotten themselves into even bigger trouble by their mouths. If you are ever in one of these situations, tell LEO repeatedly that you won't say anything until you have your lawyer present! Be calm and respectful to them so you don't get a resisting charge added. Give them your name and that is it! Even denial can be twisted around to be used against you. Shut your damn mouth!

Whatever you do, don't fall victim to the "good cop, bad cop" ruse. Do not believe LEO when they tell you that "telling them the truth will go a long way in your favor" or any other BS along those lines. Every question that they ask you is designed to make YOU incriminate yourself, which WILL be used against you. Just shut up and the only answer to any question of theirs is "I will not answer any question unless my lawyer is present. I have that right and I am exercising it."
