Went to the Bird tonight. Hoping to maybe catch a girl working who also enjoys drinking or herbal medication. Makes for a more party atmosphere. Not many girls (around 10:30pm). Talked to a curvy white girl named Cloe. We seemed to make a connection, so I tried her out on the $10 dances. There was some stick shifting under my shorts. Nothing radical. Went to the Bird Friday night around 12:30-1:00am. Maybe I haven't been there in a while, or maybe things have changed but the drink push was unbelievable! I usually never go to strip joints on weekends anyway and maybe its the reason but they had about four or five servers and it was even more relentless as soon as a dancer sat down. It was each server, right after the other every 10-15 seconds. Each time I would politely decline and at one point I even said "maybe later" to which the response was "well. Its later now". Also, each time I would decline, one of the servers would insist by saying something like:
"see'mon."
"Not right now. Thank you"
" Just one. Pleeeease?"
"No, thank you"
"She's really thirsty!"
"Thank you. Not right now."
"Just a little drink for her?"
"NO. Thank You!"
This must have happened at least 10 or 12 times in less than 10 minutes. The dancer that was sitting with me even rolled her eyes because it was just so relentless.
I know the dancers have to sell a certain amount of drinks (on top of having to pay a stage fee to work) and if they don't sell their quota, they have to pay for the drinks themselves.
I explained to her that the sole reason I stopped going there is precisely because of the constant badgering to "buy the lady a drink". I asked her to please let management know that they had lost my business because it just became to annoying to even be there.
I don't think that my comments to her (if she even told management) would make any kind of an impact, but if quite a few guys made management aware just by the volume of complaints either in person, by phone or email (?) maybe. Just maybe they may take notice and, if not end, then at least back off from making a visit to the Bird such an unpleasant experience to the point where guys would just stop going altogether.
I know that its part of the business but honestly, it was the worst I have ever experienced.

Are there really guys who buckle under the drink pressure? Guys who really say "hell with it, I'll just get her a drink so I don't have to listen to this"?
Because if there are, you guys should be ashamed. Don't fall for it! I can't imagine that management really thinks that badgering is good for business. Although if they were good managers they probably wouldn't be working at a strip club. I've seen ridiculous stuff going on by management at strip clubs, sometimes I just scratch my head as ask what the hell are they thinking?
But I agree, send emails, let them know how stupid the practice is, and don't put up with it. Maybe a review on TUSCL stating how bad it is might help.

I HATE all forms of "hard sell", period. I totally understand that strib clubs make their money by pushing drinks, but guys come into these places to relax and have a good time-not pressured to empty their wallets. Seems to me it should be about atmosphere and customer service.
Pushing lap dances is another beef of mine. The last club I was in years ago, I swear we weren't 10 feet inside the door when one of the girls started right in "want to dance?". Honestly, right then I needed to use the bathroom more than anything else, and just wanted to sit at the bar for a bit and get myself oriented before deciding if I wanted to spend any money there (I didn't). They didn't pressure me with buying drinks since I just ordered one coke, and got the message, but every two seconds it seemed another dancer circled around like a vulture and hitting me up, making the whole experince unpleasant. I finally had to say (lie)"Look, I"m out of cash!" before word got around and they FINALLY left me alone. I couldn't tell you much about the place or the dancers-needless to say I never went back.

I know H very well and you've described her style, commitment and intensity perfectly. She is something special but not for everybody because she does cook at a smolder and not a rolling boil. But who knows, she could be perfectly capable of hitting the accelerator, but reads both you and I as being more geared for slow, intimate intensity. I haven't taken her to the VIP, but have had couch sessions with her that defy description. In one instance I knew I had hit into one of what I consider to be the rarest instance when genuine mutual sexual chemistry is happening. Strippers and other sex workers program themselves against that no matter how well they program themselves to fake pleasurable reactions to our clumsy touch. I've been staying away from the Bird recently. Not because my last few visits weren't fully satisfying. But seems to me that management has been telling the girls to keep covered as much as is reasonably possible during the $10 dances. These are not supposed to be nude or topless dances. But up until the last year or so I felt like I had fairly easy access to get under the outfits both visually and with my hands. Now it seems like the girls are at least slightly more defensive about having it all hang out more than momentarily - I often get the "one tit at a time" approach. Not a huge complaint because it is hard to complain that you don't get your money's worth.
And props to you for buying H a drink. Of course I oppose the ridiculous drink hustle at the Bird and other clubs. But it is not a hustle when the girl is sitting with you giving you full access to all her sweetness and is massaging your balls and stroking your shaft for long periods of time for a lousy $10 drink. There can be more action on the Bird Bench over a drink than at a few dozen clubs around SoCal where you are paying $20-40 for short dances that are less satisfying. In fact the Bird Bench is what frequently makes me decide on the Bird when I'm trying to figure out which club to hit. I get great cheap topless and nude dances at DVCOI, but in between dances girls who will even sit down and chat are inclined to engage in the usual boring small talk. At the Bird they let they're hands and fingers do the talking. Nobody should feel they have to buy a drink but what the hell, if the girl is giving you this much action you can pass along a modest reward in return. And do you want her to leave?

Fate has always seemed to conspire so that I've never had a dance with her because someone a bit better comes along first. She's not quite my type, a little too spinner for my tastes. But at the same time there's something about her that drives me crazy. Insane legs and butt, big hair, and tiny tits that I'd normally not be too interested in, but on her they look great. But she has always ended up in a lower position on my dance list, and I never seem to get there.

I was in the area and decided to stop by Imperial Showgirls in the afternoon. It also happened to be the first Tuesday of the month so it was a super Tuesday special. It was $11 to get in and that included a non-alcoholic drink (I used on on a Red bull. No extra charge). The setup has been renovated and look kind of like Spearmint Rhino now. Two stages but only one was being used during the day. Dances were $10 each regular and 3 for $30 in VIP (super Tuesday special).
Saw some familiar faces and a some new ones. Laura seems to have the best booty of any stripper I have seem anywhere. Got a few dances with her and a few others. The place is a grind-factory but don't expect anything much more. Good fun and reasonable prices. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
I haven't frequented the strip club scene much lately. After reading Chris' review I decided to see what exactly was a "fleshlight." There is a adult store at the corner of Ball and State College in Anaheim. Next door is the Sahara- but I digress.
SO- I drifted into Sahara for the "free" 11-1 entry. It was 8 bucks for the bottle of water. I know others have said to wear loose baggy gym / basketball shorts but.
1. I feel kinda weird wearing those out in public (except playing sports)
2. Things always fall out of the pockets (at least the gym shorts I wear)
I've never had an issue of releasing jr. Sometimes the strippers would try to reach through the pant hole (which is not so loose and thus hard to reach) at which point I would just unzip and the issue is solved.
