Seeking and SB sites gone downhill.
Downhill at least for budget / salt daddies like me.
I've never really tried to set up a true allowance-based arrangement. If you do that, more power to you and it is in the spirt of the sites. That said, I've had tremendous luck over the years on both sugar sites finding cute enough and fun / genuine partners for occasional NSA fun, especially when traveling.
SecBen site used to get shit on due to their scammy 10 buns /8 hot dogs pricing with credits. The secret was / is to only use credits to message potential SBs you are interested in. That's it. Don't pay to read messages you receive. They are either scams, bots, or high volume time wasters. If you favorite someone and they message you, don't pay to read - 95% it won't be worth it.
The SB site decided to start messaging SDs from SB profiles, which I confirmed with three separate SBs. I mentioned this unfortunate change on a support ticket I'd set up (SBs I had blocked kept showing in my feed) and WHAM, remaining credits refunded + instaban. They didn't deny it but apparently don't like being called out on trying to get SDs to waste credits.
The Seeking pool is 2/3 smaller than just 12-18 months ago and generally less attractive. Seeing the same ol faces and time wasters. Most new SBs just want to chat and have conversations for $. I'm pretty methodical in reviewing all potential SBs within 50 miles who fit my criteria (filter out marriage-minded and platonic) and it only took me a few hours to go through every SB who'd been on the site in the last two weeks. I've messaged 15 and gotten a few replies but before it was closer to a 30-50% reply rate.
I did have luck when traveling recently and found a gem at $300 for the night so Seeking still has some options. I'm just noting it's gotten markedly worse for what I'm looking for.
