Is it just me, or have the streets dried up lately? Up until a couple weeks or so ago, I'd see SW's out fairly often even when just driving through on my way elsewhere. Lately I'm not seeing shit really.

I was wondering, I have cruised both late night, lunch time and on my way home. I have not seen any SW at all. Worked out perfectly because I could even push the bike inside. This did require some charm with our fairer partners because they feel like they can bolt from a car if things go sideways, not from a storage unit with the door rolled down. But if you have a regular cast of characters to play with, they get hip to idea. Just to be on the safe side I would move units regularly, and obviously don't openly store valuables, make sure everything stays boxed. It's a little expensive, but it's cheaper than hotels and you have the added bonus of having someplace to store all your crap.

You have to do more logistics when you ride, so find your location before you find your passenger. Restaurant bathrooms that you can lock aren't bad if you're quick, but the back side of strip malls aren't good. They're seem quiet, but they are loaded with security cameras and finding the blind spots is too much work, and looks suspicious. Parking garages are pretty good during business hours, you can usually find a stairwell, but watch for cameras. Behind restaurants and dive bars is usually pretty good during the day if you scout it, they don't generally have cameras, but she might not dig getting down behind a dumpster, it has that "what has my life come to" effect.

My biggest tip for going out with the bike is keep your head on a swivel, and *never* be more than two steps from your ride. Leave your helmet on, always leave the keys in, ideally with the IGN primed if your headlight isn't obvious, so you are one thumb press from gone. I wouldn't go for FS on the bike, and wouldn't even unbuckle my belt.
