However, I do not believe that should be a determent. People out there that need this cash to eat and have shelter should go for this or at the very least look into charity programs that will supply food, shelter and clothing. While I have the floor, I have seen a few questions on how LEO is handling arrests at this time, especially Lord Darts' boys. I have no official info on what policy (written or unwritten) that CPD or Cook County is using. But here is a little info from other locations. A friend of mine over in Indiana that has a neighbor that is a local cop has been told that they are not stopping people for minor traffic violations, like speeding unless it is considered to be of a dangerous nature. In my local town, cops are not investigating minor crimes such as your home being broken into, unless there is significant loss or damage or danger. This info was in the local media. They are simply taking phone reports. Both of these reports are designed to reduce LEO contact with the public. Take that for what it is worth and if other mongers have info on what locals PDs are doing, feel free to report it. No rumors, please, that might get mongers in trouble- make sure it is solid info.

So as a result I look like the cover of a beatles 64 album. A mop top at 67! I do know when I do get to see my hair girl I'll have some explaining to do or big tipping or both! Yea it's dry. I noticed even on eros where there would be three or four pages of girls in town there are only two. oh btw all-i have seen more fuzz hanging then i have ever seen driving around in the city or out by the airport. over by the hip mall in norridge they are testing at the old emissions place as i go by there to shop back in my old hood. when this first broke it was madness right in that area. today it' not as bad, however still backed up. and even though that is not really city, the city fuzz is everywhere over there. mostly i see cruisers podding around out here so not as many drive bys. the weirdest thing i saw by the uc when coming up damen from getting my mail early sunday morning was two indiana sheriffs brown cruisers fly around me. they wound up at the uc so free breakfast must have been on and they figured wtf it's a ways but let's roll! no really i am sure they were on official fuzz business! stay safe and let's hope these providers don't go crazy with high fees when this clears up thinking that we need them so bad they can jack up their prices.

I don't know if any of the LEO activities surrounding this hobby would ever involve incarceration, but if they did, this is the absolute wrong time to end up in a jail. Especially Cook County Jail.

For example: A SW paying her bills by "working" hasn't paid taxes in years. Now she's hurtin' and needs assistance! Does she file and get assistance risking future consequences?

It makes sense. Stores are closed. A lot of work, when available, is being done at home. Car traffic is down. With people being urged to stay at home, there are less people on the street, especially at night. Less traffic means LEO is more noticeable. And they probably have less to do. I guess my question is what their official and unofficial policies are. Cook County courts don't want their business right now. LEO doesn't want contact with the public any more than he has to. So when they report to the station houses, what are they being told about arrests and enforcement? As I pointed out, things are different in several towns I have heard about.

On the village website anything minor like who really knows what that entails is to be phoned in. What usually happens up here for instance the homeless can take the blue line at rosemont, jump on the big blue bus (not my former garage down here though) and get off in our little downtown. Usually if the fuzz sees them hanging out, they will say look we are giving you a free ride! Meaning they escort them back up to rosemont, see that they get up on the el and then send them towards the city. Now what one of the homeless guys told me while he was waiting for the bus was that they just told him look you don't belong here so get on the bus and get out now! The fuzz station across the street is closed unless it's official business. So yea I am with you, ump. The line is blurred. I am of the belief that if one is stopped for something stupid while driving they are going to ask what you are doing out and in the area. I mean I have limited my in city drives only because right now there's nothing down there but my mail box downtown.

Those places are incubators for this kind of thing. I know when I was doing what I now call "sucker" work with the cpd, west loop associations and charitable organizations (problem being the same 15 people do all the work and the rest of the community just applauds and gives you your complimentary pat on the back!) We toured cook county lockup with the cpd and got an extensive tour. Everything in there is tight and we did go into a cell which was two to a cell except when they are crowded and then they did one on the floor, two in the bunks. They have those blocks where they do have a communal area. When they are processed they chain them all together when out of this big cage. Makes you wonder why people do crazy things and wind up in there!

I had just written yesterday saying I had no official info about CPD. Today there is a story in the Trib. CPD brass wants to set up checkpoints. Technically, they would be the usual safety checkpoints, looking for seatbelts and auto violations. But people out without a "valid" reason would be urged to go home. The police union is against this as is the ACLU. What does that mean for us? I'm not sure. It will be of interest first to know where these checkpoints will be. Let's say that one is located at North Cic and Fullerton. Does that put a crimp in the route, do we all tell LEO we are on the way home or to the grocery store? Or do we just endure LEO telling us to go home? I personally believe, that if not from the neighborhood, LEO might not believe you are merely shopping or on the way home. LEO is not totally dumb as to why we are out there, especially on some of the seedier routes like 5th. The problem now is that they will believe they have a legitimate reason to stop us. "No sir, we are not stopping you here on Fifth Avenue because we believe you are seeking street girls. We are simply checking to see if you are using your seat belt. " And there is the other thing, that LEO doesn't particularly want to get that close to either us or the girls any more than he has to. So feel free to contradict me or add to the info from the Trib. I'm simply guessing and proposing potential scenarios. I have no idea what reality will bring.

E. , not wearing a seatbelt (your word against theirs, assuming they are physically out of their car and observe you straight on not wearing a seatbelt), headlight is out, rear taillights don't work, etc. Nothing wrong with saying your coming from a friend's house in the area (no basis to ask you for an address) and driving home. I've been out running errands after the stores are closed and maybe one or two fast food joints are left open. Granted one may be in an area known for prostitution, but that in and of itself doesn't mean a thing if you are going about your business and don't look like your trolling for hoes.
