There's the one mentioned here on the south south of lake right near that book store as I go by there frequently. Also that little strip center on north ave at the northeast corner I forget now what that cross street is, however they are still open as well. I mean if dudes weren't falling for this bull then I would think there would be no help working there and the places would close so they are still shaking down guys. Pretty pathetic. I am curious as to how long that sign stayed up as the local fuzz is everywhere up and down heim and I am sure someone pulled that quick. My fleas are back open down that way so I'll check myself. I was newly divorced, had just sold the house, had just cashed out a retirement fund even though I was far from retiring, and had money coming out of my ass.
I had seen ads for the place just off 355 and went there after dropping the kids off at the ex wife's place. Of course you had to pull around the back and ring the bell and when a twenty-something Hispanic girl in a short robe answered the door and led me into the office I thought my post-divorce years were beginning to look great.
I got charged an unconscionable amount of money. Somewhere in the 400 range, and was led into a room and told to undress. Never having done the spa / massage thing, I was thinking I had hit the jackpot. Expensively, yes, but I was new at this and thought that was what it took. I went over to Louie's and found out that supposedly the mayor had them get rid of all the girls. From what I was told, a female can't even rub your neck nor can you rub theirs. On a happier note, Carl's is open for business as usual since it's in Stone Park.

The owner had years of video backed up from all the cameras (rumors are that he kept it for his own "enjoyment") Once the police confiscated the surveillance vids to investigate the shooting, they saw all the other stuff going on. Once the village board gets involved, it's no longer possible for the police to look the other way. The surrounding communities all did the same thing figuring these type situations could spill in to their communities.
This dancer ban originally included Stone Park (Carls). Carls has now reopened with dancers like before. I'm told the Mayor of Stone Park did a 180 on the ban. It's also possible they're testing the waters but I believe but it's more likely they got the OK from above (IMHO).

It is one of the reasons I stay clear of All Stars and their policy of scanner your driver license. Who knows how long that is stored and whose hands it could wind up in down the road.

The security guy at the flea down in melrose also told me that there was another shooting at the place next to scores right about the same time. I don't think that one was actually because of a fight that spilled out from the club. I heard a guy just wound up in their parking lot and was chased from another burb. Also I haven't a clue what will become of the spot j's is / was on. The former playpen is still up for rent as well as the building next to it. Heim is pretty sketchy up and down with flop houses, et al. I don't even know who would want to open a business on that strip let alone in this current climate. Oh just a side note- I saw another one of those reported jack shack signs today as I was coming out of the dollar store. Also last week one of the flop houses caught on fire and is now condemned. So I mean it's not exactly an upscale area to begin with and now with the dancers removed from most all of what is left it's just going spiral imo. It's too bad really in that people have to over play their hands and f**k it up for the rest of us! I mean all of this back room happy ending stuff has been going on for years, however liked mentioned once you get village boards eyes on you, you are gone!

They all have the same number which is to one of those ridiculously overpriced rip off places on Lake. Clever marketing technique. If they get even 1 extra chump, it pays for those signs & then some.

No further down the line somewhere in the melrose thread I believe, someone reported that they were putting those laminated cardboard signs up that said something to the affect that "oh since the strip clubs are closed come see me" and then a phone number which lead to a shack on lake. The one first reported was in front of j's and then I saw another in the dollar store strip center as I was exiting back on to heim northbound. Hope that clears it up. The flop house that caught on fire and now today I see they are already starting to tear it all down is the one that is on the east side of the street. Exactly where or to pinpoint it I will have to re-report as I am going back to the flea on Saturday. It's the one that said "kitchenettes" and not the one on the west side that says the same thing, however has a sign for day and weekly rates.

Like we all have said and yep I fell prey to one back in the day as well, however I left after I knew I was not getting anything with the $80 entry fee and it all was going to go south from there, those places can't stay open without customers. I would think it's just dudes that have been bar hopping all night and figure WTF it beats beating off!
Went to Melrose park clubs looking for if / when they will reopen. Started at Bobby's 3-4 guys at the bar. 1 girl. Talked to the bartender, I think her name was Leslie, says that there looking to open up in April after the election. Stopped at Carl's and there was about a dozen guys with about 4-5 girls working. Dances were being given. Talked to one of the girls and she says the same thing, maybe open up after election. Anybody have any info about Leslie the bartender at Bobby's has a real nice rack, is she open for Otc business? We spent a while talking and flirting with each other.

Most of the time she will bad mouth the dancers just to have the customers spend their money on her (tips). A lot of the girls do not like her and some of the patrons as well. This is just what I have seen.
I've been reading the comments about the clubs with interest. I'm not surprised at the ones that reopened. You think Stone Park is not getting their cut, not to mention business license fees and taxes? But J's is not in Stone Park.
