One rather significant risk of a hobby phone is discovery. When it is found, you're going to need to come up with an explanation. Whereas a login to google voice can be much more subtle, and it is free to boot. Plus you can access it from your phone, tablet, computer, etc.

I text most of the time too that's why I purchase 1000 text for t dollars at speedway. Speedway is the only place I've been able to find that text card on a spinning rack. When the card disappeared off the rack, I asked the clerk about it and they said it's behind the counter and we just scan it for you here.
Others have mentioned, hiding the hobby phone can be a problem. But it is a great place to store pics and videos from your adventures.

I'm thankful to Benz for doing all the leg work that he's done and for the help and sharing that he brings to the board. Some seem to be envious of his success and forget about the good that he continues to do for us in our searches! I still remember back on the old boards when this same sort of thing would happen. There was a photographer that for the life of me I can't recall his board name that used to take sexy ass pics of a lot of the girls. It didn't take long before a handful of other "photographers" were bitching and whining and accusing him of getting free pussy, blah, blah, blah. Some of these same guys had no issues asking me for UTR information. I even gave the most vocal critic of Benz a UTRs digits and password! One can only conclude the hate and pimping accusations come out only after being denied service. And that's the most puzzling argument for me. You seriously call someone a pimp for doing what? Uh, by not pimping his UTR to you? I didn't go to pimp college but I don't think that's how one grows a business.
