Here again it is just logic and common sense, but people are generally reluctant to provide a method because LEO probably reads these forums. I can just see them getting paid for it and come up with social engineering schemes to apply in this very forum (think about it). So there is no substitute for actually reading the forums on a regular basis (not just searching or asking when you are about to TOFFT), and ideally in more than one geographical area. That helps you see (before ads expire) how people do the interpreting I was referring to. Furthermore, it helps to see how LEO do stuff by watching the abundant news and documentary footage about their stings. (I know, it's bad for your nerves; it drives me mad, too.) Watch these and ask yourself how these poor guys got in these situations and what, if anything, you would have known to do differently. Same in the forum: when someone posts a review of a disappointing experience, would you have done anything differently?
The other thing you're trying to be safe from is bad service. Not much you can do other than use your intuition, starting at first contact, and if you go ahead, escalate slowly to minimize the risk. Be ready to cut your losses at any moment. (That certainly puts a damper on my excitement.).
All that means that in addition to what you spend on the actual services received, you will put some time and money into research, learning experiences, and safety. That's a pain and also drives me mad, especially considering how nice, easy, simple, safe and civilized all this goes across in better parts of the world. It is hard to 100% avoid problems, but with good research you can stack the odds way in your favor. I too am frustrated at all the time I have to spend to avoid problems. Especially since in many places in this world sex is treated as a service industry like any other one. When it is legal it can be taxed, health issues can be minimized, and human trafficking essentially eliminated. What's not to like? Unless you are still under the influence left over from the Puritans which persists hundreds of years later.
