I cut them in fourths and they work well. I still get hard the next day due to the residuals. Sometimes I even cut the fourth in half and only take 1/8. Enough to keep it hard. Only side effect sometimes is a stuffy nose and a once in a while slight headache the next morning. But once I get out of bed and walk around, drink some water, both are gone. Thanks again SV.

Everyone is different so finding what works best for each individual might take a bit of experimentation.

I'll soon have to get more chewable V. I get sinus head aches and body aches. Kind of like the flu when I take normal v c l. Is there anything new out there with less side effects?

I get the same sinus symptoms when taking the normal ones too. Even the gel ones. I mean they all work but it's just that side effects I hate after. PM me if you like.

Check magnod's post #901 in this thread. He says he likes the chewables because it doesn't make him feel sick like the regular V, C and L.
But probably the most common side effect with all 3 of the vitamins is the stuffy nose.
Of course nobody wants to get side effects, they are irritating at best and unpleasant at worst, but I think most of us are willing to sacrifice some side effects to get the "hammer" when we need it.

Probably because I have allergies and asthma so the sinus part makes me avoid normal vcl. I usually take a half or quarter of the chewable. Still get the aches and sinus issues but seems less than the same amount of the pill version. I generally take it the night before I have my appointment. The effects still last in the morning but I feel like I avoid some of the side effects while I sleep. Still I wake up and sometimes wonder if I'm getting the flu or if it is the chewable tablet.
