As far as money I usually was cash and carry but sometimes once in awhile I would carry a tab till payday depends on your relationship with the mama or the owner or the bartender cause if you no pay she pays from her pocket. I paid my bills so no problem. But from PM experience at Butterfly which is not a good comparison back then the girls were friendlier, the food much more abundant, and the beer way cheaper. Oldee you remember piss water Primo brewed in the islands was by Waimanu shopping Center? Man I remember killing a case along with my uncle killing his own couldn't stop going to the Lu. In the old days, (early 70s) , it was NEVER about buying neko for food altho we didn't mind, being neko was 200cents back then, it was all about the tip on the table at the end of the night or when you left. Sure, get some guys no leave enough tip, but for the most part, local guys are generous regarding that even when the food is not asked for. I can say more but will leave it at that. Regarding NEEDING $1 if you go KBs. ONLY a hopeless LVB would think that. Why? Its because you INTEND to BUY NEKO! I drink alot and no can drink $1worth beers, LOL. Having said that, some of the nekos back then was just a dolla. I just know the current neko prices has outpaced inflation when it jumped from 10 to 20. I think it should just be around 10 to reflect past inflation but KBs got greedy. Its actually 40 now at most town bars if the KBG drinks a regular size beer. Then theres the 5, 10, 20 shot specials of fake shots for 100, 200, 400 etc. That can sometimes last only 10 seconds, LOL. Us second shift guys thank you LVBs, LOL.

We all most likely played the LVB role at least a little (and still do) so we are just laughing at ourselves and not you bro. We ALL stupid to some degree for going hostess bars. LOL. Having said that, when you do go with your out of town friend to the KBs next time, please look at everything with aNEW and fresh sukebe eyes. You will FINALLY SEE that MOST guys in the bars are LVBs of all kind types. You will come to understand that KBGs willl at best RESPECT you for not being a sucker while the LVBs get no appreciation no matter how much they spend. When they say thank you, you so nice, good etc, they really mean thanks for being a sucker LVB, LOL. I STILL love them KBGs and KBs tho, LOL.

Early 70s neko price was two dollars; happy hour beer fifty cents, seventy-five cents regular; $1. 25 happy hour hard liquor, $1. 75 regular. Nekos were two dollars; Lancer's (brown / green) wine fifteen / twenty dollars; champagne at thirty to $50. The KBGs were making $200 nightly; now sometimes hard make $60. Difficult to determine the inflation and relative costs because nowadays all prices are ridiculous. Before can go happy hour with five dollars and still leave a good tip.

This and whatever you order or is on the house they will usually tell you. FYI.

The last time I think we were in Casino and the two wahines were discussing how they were going to play us for drinks. Long time lurker first time posting. Hit up Blue Sea for first time. There are a couple decent looking women here but was approached by Suji who is well past her prime. Surprisingly kind of busy. On my second beer ready to leave if the decent ones don't approach.

Row, row, row your boat. That's what we did a little more than forty yeas ago while the stream was still gentle and the ride a merry one. Nowadays the stream is rougher with a less than gentle ride; the attention needs to be directed to the now due to the KBs and KBGs that use 'now' tactics to catch the 'before' guys sucker. Yeah, it wasn't as bad a situation then but it has evolved into a ruthless, conniving, and unrelentless business; lolo LVBs still living merrily in the past, especially the older farts, IMO. Although nice to recall the 'good 'ole days, ' LOL and hehehe! There's no give-and-take anymore; the KBGs only want more (as witnessed by those participating at our DFM) by getting things for free AND wanting nekos. Avarice, greed, chicken shat, whatever you want to call it. But it's not wholly their fault. It's those demned Hopelessly LVBs!
Anyhoo, it's all a game and no can blame anybody but the big YOU. Come to the FMs of your choice for the support and camaraderie; listen to and experience some interesting shat with fun.
