New to hobby. Not been to AMP yet and want to give it a try. I've done research on locations (through search function) and think I have spot for mings II. Is it in the same spot as referenced from posts back in 2010?

That said, I will tell you two things. One is that for most of the year Alaska has a dearth of available options of reasonably attractive professional ladies to visit, either at an AMP or an independent.

When I say I dream of paying $.5 for a massage, it is for at least a full hour, sometimes longer with an attractive lady. The dream always involves two or three enjoyable outcomes along with what I consider "real" massages. I can guarantee you, it is well worth being pampered like that for $.5.

If you do ever visit Alaska, you will also find most people here are pretty laid back with a live and let live attitude.

I was in Anchorage for the weekend. Went to OT for a bit, the girl was a bit older, maybe mid to late 30's, and I could not understand anything she or the other gal there said. She talked for a while and any actual communication was through hand signals. Ended up with CBJ, I didn't ask for but was still decent. I offered. 6 for tip and she immediately spoke better english saying "mouth is more", wound up giving even $, I wasn't sure what was going rate for CBJ even though I didn't ask for it, just needed to get out.

Next day saw Lulu for first time. Probably best AMP visit ever. Will definitely repeat. Anyone who's been there before probably knows her style and knows what sets her massage apart from the usual fare. She was older than I expected but she knows how to use her hands. I also liked that she only said like 3 words the whole time. There is no need for chit chat really. I have never seen Suki, I wonder if she has a similar technique? I gave her a. 8 tip cause I thought it was worth it, and she said too much. I thought that was awesome. I guarantee you will never hear that from another AMP.

Prior to that you had been visiting "independent ladies", as I believe you put it. And you stated that you were not interested in anything beyond a HE. That's fine, and if you wish to overpay for a HJ, that is, I guess your choice. But you are not only being foolish, you are ruining the pricing structure for everyone else.

For my part, I have been visiting Anchorage for may years and I think I know more about the scene in Anchorage than you ever will. First of all, given the population of the greater Anchorage area of 300, 000 souls (more or less) , you don't have a dearth of providers, but a plethora. Granted, over the years the number of AMPs and other providers has waxed and waned with the political (hence LE) milieu. But this is true in any city. However I would have to say that the men of Anchorage are more fortunate than those of many other cities in the USA You are correct that my home is in S. C. And I can tell you that we really have only one AMP to serve a much larger population. At that particular establishment, the most one can get is a HJ. And it will cost you a hell of a lot less than $150. Granted there are many independents, but their prices do tend to be higher and for those prices, you get the whole shooting match (FS).


We do have an increasing number of Chinese massage establishments, as they seem to be proliferating across the entire country. But the ones here offer legit massage only. Prices for an hour are uniformly $50.

I don't know anything about you, such as your age range. But I can tell you that I've been a member of this board for many years. I've seen a lot of people who (when they enter the hobby) say they are only interested in a HJ. Inevitably, they come (like the rest of us) to want the entire magilla. I believe that neophytes to the hobby have the mistaken belief that if they limit themselves to a HJ, it's not cheating on the significant other or that it's not philandering, or some other such nonsense. This is, of course, utter folly. But you can't nudge a fool from his course.

Since you are a newcomer to the AMP scene, you might be surprised to learn that within a narrow range, pricing is actually quite uniform across the U.S. I've seen house fees vary from a low of $50 in Honolulu to a high of about $70 or $80 in Metropolitan Washington, D.C. One normally doesn't tip much more than about $20 for a hand job. And a tip of $100 should be sufficient for full service, including DATY. Granted, the AMP ladies will use all of their persuasive power to increase the tip. But it's a lot like bargaining for a new or used car. If you stand your ground and know the value of what you are getting, you will always come out the winner. And once you become a regular at a particular spa, the girls will appreciate the fact that you keep returning and will come to realize that it's much better to receive a lower tip and have the volume business than to try to squeeze more out of you and have you go elsewhere. Moreover, guys who go to an AMP on a frequent basis, just can't afford to overtip.

And finally, I must tell you how sad I am that you find me to be a curmudgeion.
