Guess I was wrong about probably not having two stings in a row. Well, either way these guys didn't know or follow the rules. First off they probably have not read the forum or even known about it. Second, there might have been some first-timers mixed in with them for sure (if not all of them). I feel bad for them...that is unless they're just idiots. I've seen plenty out there for sure.

Remember, LE always wants to "hear" the transaction clearly and they don't get into cars and drive blocks away, unless you're being closely followed. Remember, you're just a civilian taking a drive until they get a confession or evidence. DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM.

Agreed. Some just don't know the rules and others may know them, but do not always follow them because the little head can be a very powerful overriding factor! To read those rules the first time that you stumble on to this site is not enough - you need to revisit them from time to time to reinforce their importance.

While those rules are designed to guard against a variety of losses (loss of car due to an impound, loss of bankroll due to a rip off, loss of life or limb), from strictly an LE perspective I like the recent short and sweet post by Spinman which stated:

"If I don't know her and her ass is not sitting in the passenger seat, we are not rolling and at least a couple blocks away, she's a COP period.... " That single sentence says a lot.

This is what I would recommend to someone that might be lurking on this site and never has tried it, but thinks they might want to jump in on the street action: go out and run the track a couple of times BUT LEAVE YOUR $$ AT HOME! I found this approach to be helpful.

Doing so will have completely removed the little head factor from the equation while you get your bearings. A dress rehersal so to speak. And while you're on that recon mission, make your observations and think about how you would play things if you DID have your $$. And whatever it is you think you would do - think about it one more time from the standpoint of am I following the rules???

A newbie might spot a real looker at the corner of McMkn & Elm (good for you). But does the newbie know what car is trailing him a half block further back and who's in the car behind that one? Or will he notice the LEO parked in the dark further up the street at Mohawk watching you pull over to make the scoop?

These are the kind of things that you need to be thinking about on those initial runs. And once you are thinking from that perspective perhaps when you've got cash with you on that 3rd, 4th or 5th run you will already be in the habit of looking at things this way.

At this point, with cash now in tow the little guy is back in the decision making process. But just because you are now starting to see familiar faces on the street and some of the spots that LE likes to hide, it doesn't mean your safe. You've just reduced your risk for this phase. Having done your dry runs on this part of the game allows you to be more confident and make better decisions in your dealings "once her ass is in the passenger seat".

Eventially though with confidence and a few scoops under your belt you're gonna screw something up. We all have, but hopefully that screw up isn't on the portion addressed in Spinman's quote. When you do screw up you have to go back and review the rules again and don't be shocked when you see that your situation was covered by one of them, but you chose not to follow it.

If you look at the guys who got stung, most don't look like ones who know or care that there might be rules for mongering... Reference was made to the "13 rules" posted in 2008:

The picture attached, apparently taken by WCPO, demonstrates a serious violation of rule 5 about negotiating through the window:

Some are saying that mongering with escorts is much better... Maybe... But if you read the Escort or Craig's List Boards, you are even more likely find an escort who does not deliver anything like what was promised, and charges you literally 10x or more what an SW charges. For those too afraid to street monger, and who have $$$ to toss around, fine. But don't knock 'the hunt' until you try it. Mongering on the street is like prospecting for diamonds in the rough. The rewards can be great. And don't think you can't get busted with a $$$ escort.

BTW, other sites report increased stings, nabbing 20-30 persons in a night. (Nashville sounds just like Cincinnati.) I suspect a national coordinated process.

It's all because of it being election time and politicians/police chiefs needing to have some splashy coverage to dance around in front of to validate why they should be in office. 3 weeks after elections are over and everyone is either safe or replaced, it'll go right back to the status quo again. Happens every election time that I can recall all the way back to the late 70s. These types of arrests are easy to pull off, relatively safe for the officers, and make headlines.

That's all that it is.

#1 - The only way the guys got caught was breaking [b]Rule #9 of the 22 Rules of Mongering[/b]

Which reads:

9. AVOIDING LE STINGS - Do not EVER EVER EVER discuss anything with a girl who isn't seated in your car, except to offer her a ride. THAT'S ALL YOU'RE DOING! IT'S LEGAL! Just being a nice guy... On every board I've seen, LE always tries to make the bust without the F LE risking her ass by getting in. READ THIS RULE AGAIN! IT'S IMPORTANT!

Here is a "You Tube" from a Cops TV Show demonstrats [b]how LE set up Stings to catch guys on the streets.[/b] Watch carefully and learn the operating procedure. This is how it's done in every city large or small.

If a supposedly SW walks up to your car window and ask something like "What do you want?" and not get in your car. You need to be Alarmed that she is probably undercover. Remain cool and act like a lost citizen in the area and ask for directions for the nearest Gas Station or something.

The female Undercover [b]will try to entice you into Soliciting her[/b] because you did stop to talk to her. Remember to remain calm and cool and don't response to any suggestive innuendo! Just say something like "sorry to bother you but I have to be on my way" and drive way slowly and leave the area immediately.

You may be followed and possibly stopped by LE even though you didn't offer "money for Sex" to the undercover. LE hates to lose an easy arrest and may stop you because of possibly they ran you plates and see that you have a warrant.... maybe your one of your car lights are broke and they will give you a warning ticket. Once my light on my back license plate was out and LE gave me a ticket. They will try to find out what your doing in the area and they will try to intimate you into talking. Remain calm and polite and don't response beyond giving your driver's license's and any other ID like auto insurance card or car registration.

Also I have questions about the 20 people arrested last week. Only 4 people were posted on the channel 9 website and one of them was a SW. Why wasn't the other 16 people listed? In other cities where a sting occurred the News will always list everybody caught like in the city of Hamilton or Middletown and even Dayton, Ohio! I'm Suspicious of the News report. Who are the other people caught? Why they were not named and only 4 people were? I did noticed that the three guys had other charges besides soliciting.

Another point in mongering. Don't carry contrabands or drugs while driving. LE will do everything to find other charges against you. Keep you vehicle clean!!!!

Finally my take on the guys who were caught. You can call them Newbies who were thinking with their "Little Head" but that is an overly generalization. It get used too much here. We all are in the hobby because of some degree of the "Little Head".

People caught in the recent sting knew where to go to find the SWs, therefore knew something about this hobby. And they knew nothing about the pitfalls of the hobby especially Street mongering.

It's like every guy has watched the TV Show "COPS" and seen the episodes of female undercover impersonating as SWs!!!! Come On now "COPS" been on the air for twenty years. Also from time to time you read or watch on the news about the Stings in the area since forever!

These guys were just careless and stupid at the time. I bet the undercover LE was well above good looks to the regular SWs out there. Somebody had to seen a take down and I wish they would report what they saw so we can have some intel.

Some people have to learn the HARD way about everything. The rest of us need to always keep your guard up. My two cents to you Bill Fanta.

So what I thought Giani said was interesting and decided to investigate for myself. Google the words "national prostitute diversion". It's based out of Dallas Texas. It seems as though the conference was last November, but I'm sure there are other programs and later dates since then.

You make some very accurate points my man and you also are right on the money with other towns experiencing similar stings.

I hope you are not including me in those who knock you hunters. As I have said several times before I admire the courage, discipline and hard work the hunters that are successful put in on the hobby. I do wish that everyone that participates in the hunt word be as diligent as you guys are. Seems it would make it a little easier for all if they would also follow the rules.

My only point in the discussion is that some like myself, as looking for a different experience and are willing to pay a little more for that experience. By all means you are correct in your assessment for the cash and dash and bait and switch rip off artist. That is why I always recommend that everyone participating in my area of the hobby do their homework here and other sites to insure they are meeting with a well reviewed provider as to get the best experience at an affordable price. While that price may indeed be significantly more than a street girl it is a totally different experience and deserves the additional donation if the service warrants it.

Like I have said before there are enough variations to the hobby to meet everyone’s kink. If you find what area that scratches your itch and it fits within your chosen budget I think that is fantastic.

I admire and respect all of the members here that are successful and pass along their experiences so that those that follow can benefit from their experience. I am also totally against anyone getting knocked for their choices, every successful hobbyist should be given the respect they are due for being successful and generous with their experience.

Great stuff guys. I wish I had a resource like this site when I first started out.

I've been a homebody for the past couple of weeks, so I don't have anything new to report at the moment. Hopefully that will change by the end of the day. Looks like I picked a good time to take a break though. I'd rather not have a face-to-face with an officer, even if I'm pretty confident I know what I'm doing.

Last year I was cruising and spotted a BSW that looked pretty nice on Elm near Henry. I pulled over and she came up to the driver's window. I asked her if she wanted a ride and she said, "What do YOU want to do?" Right away I went into "code red" mode because I knew that most SWs will jump right into your car when you stop for them. The other "red flag" was that this female kept asking me what I wanted to do, clearly trying to get me to say I wanted something sexual. From reading the rules on this board, I knew this was not a good situation to be in so I just smiled at her and said, "I don't think you need a ride right now." She smiled back as if to say she knew her cover was blown. Even if you stop for a female that is part of a sting, as long as you just offer her a ride, they ain't gonna get you cause you've done nothing illegal. And if it's a sting, she isn't going to get into your car in most cases. In those few cases where a sting involves the female actually getting into your car, she isn't going to massage your manhood or flash her privates. So just keep your head, both of them, and use a bit of caution and common sense, and you won't get stung. Not to say there aren't other dangers such as getting robbed or ripped off in some other way.

We know that it is high risk for a decoy to get into a car. That is why they just don't do it and bait you to disclose an act/price through the open window.

LE may not put one of their own in a car, but what about a SW that is known to you? Is anyone aware of any history where a known SW is particpating with LE in a take down and gets into the car?

I suppose Rule #11 would help to protect you on that one, but still curious if there is evidence of that ever happening. Some first time meets that I have had want to immediately play lets make a deal as soon as they're in the car before you can even get rolling again. I know I have aggrevated more than one of them as I try to adhere to #11.

Rule 11: "Make a turn or two before discussing $$, just in case. Watch your rear view - you can bet she will, too! I've never heard of LE getting in the car, with a follower, but better safe than sorry".
