So, I am disappointed to see how the board has died. I used to be known by another name on here but due to personal resonals had to kill that User ID and cannot reveal who I used to be either. But with all that aside, I do have an update to give.

This is was February 13 about 5-6 pm. I was coming from Blount, down Bragg and turned right on Bloodworth. There at the intersection of Bloodworth and where two women, both wearing long overcoats down to their knees. One had her face buried in the others jacket. I circled the block. When I came back around a woman wearing a white overcoat, who, previously had her face buried into the other womans was now walking alone. I stopped beside her, offered a ride, and she hopped in. She went by the name Lauren, says she is a part-timer, and took her coat off reavealing her amazing looking tits for someone in her age and condition and nice legs, a really good figure overall. This was an odd pickup thought because we actually ended up spending quite a bit of time rambling about the philosophical side of what she does for a living. It was very interesting to me. I will refrain from giving any other info about that ride. It was a good ride with Lauren but it has altered my very of certain social customs. She was in her mid-40's, red hair, hangs out on Bloodworth a lot. She gave me her name and number but I threw it away. If you see her, chat her up, it is worth your time.

It is pretty much standard policy around here to "Take One For the Team" before asking for advice. I am not trying to pick on you, just giving you some personal advice before some others might jump down your throat.

You know, I have played this game for a lot of years and I would have thought the number of players you would find on the field would have picked up with the economy being what it is - but I have seen no evidence of that at all. If anything, the players seem farther apart and much less new talent out there to play with.

Is that just me or what?[/QUOTE]I have had those same thoughts. I would expect a rise in activity yet from what I can tell there are fewer options around than a year ago. I was wondering if the weather had anything to do with it. Maybe it's a seasonal thing and all the business flocks further south for the winter. We'll see.

I'm not a SW monger but I'm not a bit surprised. Why would you think that more gals would be in business in a down economy? The demand is down. People have less money to spend. They are on the street to make money. If there are no buyers they close shop.

Those who were playing for those roses would be moving down on the scale of what they can charge, thus putting some of the lower level players on the street. That's why I would have expected more players on the field both playing and recruiting!

The funny thing is, just the opposite seems to be occuring. Prices are going up in an attempt to maintain the same income with fewer clients. If the economy stays bad long enough then you will see the panic pricing you had anticipated.

The economy is bad, but the Triangle is still doing comparatively well. We haven't hit the desperate levels that would turn women out on the streets in droves quite yet. Also, women these days have several different ways to go.

Consider, if you were a woman who was getting financially desperate and had never "worked" before how would you begin? Craigslist, adult networking sites, etc, all provide much better income, feeling of safety, and are a bit more anonymous than walking the streets. Many might even attempt going to bars, clubs, and grocery stores to meet men first.

The only advantages to street walking are closer access to your dealer, and instant gratification. The only reasons women will choose that route are drugs, or stupidity.

Yes a bad economy will put women on the street but I think it will be a long process. First women will attempt to sleep with rich men, then they'll start selling themselves where they feel comfortable. Next they'll begin to resort to drugs to get through the dates. Finally the work will become about the drugs not about the bills, and they'll hit the streets.

Also, those women who DO try the street to make their rent payments, won't necessarily be in the dangerous unsafe areas we're used to.

I don't do the SW scene but I might have been prepositioned right where I live outside a grocery store.

I was walking out of the store and she was just standing out there, fumbling with her phone. She smiled at me and I smiled back but was too busy to care. So I walked away, threw my shit in the back seat and sat in the car thinking about where to go next when she knocked on my window and asked where I was headed. I told her home pointed down the street, she sighed, and walked away.

Guys, any advice on how to spot one of these, they're the best kind.

You are exactly right about the new players being in areas different than we are accustomed to! That's why the tried and true mongers have to keep all other up to date on where those areas are!

An excellent summation of the situation on all points Trailrun. The Triangle's economic condition is much better than even some areas in our state. A buddy of mine in the Triad is constantly reporting to me that pickings are far more numerous than Raleigh. This can also be seen by the prices the providers charge on CL. I have seen 2.00/hr rates in Raleigh drop to as low as 1.50/hr in other cities that are not faring as well in the current economic conditions.

But you hit it right on the head with warning to not get our hopes up as far as seeing more on the street. I have found that the girls that claim to just do this to make a few extra dollars are more than likely full of shit. Only drugs will lead any half decent-looking woman to expose herself to the dangers of hopping in the cars of strange possibly dangerous men, risking arrest, retaliation with the regular SWs, and the generally unpleasant company of the neighborhood knuckleheads.

Experiences like Canuck's are admittedly few and far between in this area, but definitely not unheard of. I have to admit that I have not been that lucky in almost 4 years now. I actually had the pleasure of my friend and myself putting her up in a hotel room for a week and rushing over after work everyday until we purchased her a bus ticket home. Oh the memories...

The economy is presenting opportunities though. Even though I occasionally miss the "thrill of the hunt", I haven't had the pleasure of taking the stroll lately because I have two regulars who were not really friends, but more acquaintances, that I offered assistance through "these hard troubling times of financial uncertainty" in exchange for... jobs rendered.

So guys, just get out there, find the women in need, and propose your own stimulus package!

Wow after 8yrs of getting screwed. It should only take about 2 months to clean up the mess that was left. Wow I though we kick all the Idiots out. Do you not know you had already been screwed?

I had two wasted opportunities on Tuesday. In the morning I was cruising down East and saw a decent looking brunette in a long coat opening it to expose her bare legs. As I began to slow down, I noticed LEO turning and speeding toward me. So I continued on my way.

Later that same day, I saw a short-haired blonde in the same area. The area was crawling with LEO at that time so I just headed on home.
