Missed flag 3. Texts started getting explicit.

Missed flag 4: Said she'd meet me at back door instead of giving room number.

Missed flag 5. When she wasn't there, realized I'd left soda in car, went back for it, then she did meet me.

In the room, I used the bathroom to clear it. Noticed lock on door was set. Her price was higher than typical for area, but the goods looked great, I was was not thinking well.

Missed flag 6: She'd quoted 275, asked for 300 in room. Nearly walked, should have. Gave 280.

Warning 1: while in washroom, I hear her talking, but can't hear words. "What was that?" "Just making sre you're okay" It had been 60 seconds.

Warning 2: I usually leave cash on counter, she wanted it in hand.

Turn my back, and "Todd" came in through the window with his trusty pit bull "Remy. " He began to yell. She had the money. I was the loser.

I knew what was lost, and knew I wasn't getting anything back I just wanted no violence, so I played it friendly, focused on the dog, de-escalation though he wanted to jack me up physically. Left safely.

Sigh.

I don't know how you could have prevented this. I would say you were straight up robbed, not scammed. I probably would have done the same, but the vengeful side of me says it isn't over until I get a payback. Sorry this happened. Looks like they have pulled there ad, I couldn't find it through the link.

I've had a cash and dash from my truck, had a "husband" try and break in the room while I was there. I'm fortunate to be single and have my own secure place so things always proceed on MY terms or she takes a walk! (or get's threatened with a face full of Pepper Spray). All we can do is do the best we can to be secure and still not be completely paranoid!
