Here is why you NEVER piss off the cops or be a smart ass. This is because if you piss them off, they can arrest you and take you to jail for any reason they dream up. You will likely beat whatever charge they throw at you, but you need to post bail, post money to get your car out of impound, pay a lawyer, whatever. Do you want to risk this hassle?

This is also why you should never discuss funds and payments or deeds for a long way after the pickup. If they see the pickup and pull you right over, and you have discussed stuff, then it is easier for them to extract this from your date. If you didn't, then they can't get anything from her.
