Wow. Thats a lot of info. Thanks for the enlightment. I was also planning to avoid night time. Just wanted to confirm if I cam book hotel beforehand online thru travel sites to be on the safer side. Thanks again.
Depends where you want to stay as far as booking. If you want to stay in the heart of the action I would recommend Cascadas. The main benefit being you will be able to bring girls to your room with no extra charges and no knock on the door due to time limits. You can make a reservation online and save a few bucks. But you have to use Cascadas website, you can not book them on a travel site. If you are looking for a quiet (real) hotel outside the red light district I would recommend Hotel Ticuan, a 5 minute taxi ride or 15 minute walk from Zona Norte. Ticuan is best to book through Hotels.com, these days the price is pretty close to Cascadas and when you book on Hotels.com you get a free breakfast.
Buster really provided some great information for you and anybody making there first trip. I just wanted to add a few little things.
Try to act like you have been there before while there are a lot of good people in Tijuana, BUT there are those who can spot a newbee from a mile away and they will use every trick in the book to separate you from your money.
When dealing with SG's make sure you clarify everything, even the term Sucky fucky may not mean that to many of them. There are those that just repeat a term they have heard, and don't even understand that that should include a BJ.
And as far as evil meseros many many years ago I was introduced to the magic act of handing a mesero a 10 or 20 and having it turn into a 1 or 5 dollar bill In front of my eyes. Now a trick I do is if handing them a 20 I tell them its a 100 dollar bill as I'm handing it to them they are very quick to point out "NO NO NO its only 20. " same thing with a 10 say its a 20. But your best bet is to make a trip to the bank before your trip and get plenty of 1's 5's and 10's. Also get some pesos on the USA Side for those street girls. Many of them still use the 10 to 1 conversion. So if she asks for 20 dollars and you counter with 200 pesos you will be paying around $13.
