But that is not really what the post was about. Has any PII been disclosed? Do you even know what information from the screening info is kept? I don't and I don't believe anyone participating in the thread actually knows, versus what they think or believe. The Boston bust seems to indicate that much might be deleted. During one of the hearings the office said the information they got from the customer info was a phone number, age, race and a name (first I think). No mention of picutures or work IDs or even social network handles. And Virginia didn't even think the information was enough to bother investigating or bringing any charges. BUT, because the ramifications of misuse of that sensitive information is so high for so many the threat, whether made in anger or actually meant, is such a bad thing for the booker to do. I'm with you on that.
But that threat is never made if just one of the people in the interaction keeps calm, focuses on what the actual goal is -- getting the appointment made and making the appointment -- and doesn't choose to escalate things due to frustration or disappointment with mistakes or confusion about details or impatience due to timeliness in communications / responses. It's not just the booker that has that responsibility.
