Ok, so I had a little spare time between meetings today and saw that Mallory had just posted and decided to give her a spin. I texted her and she responded back almost immediately. Yes, the rate increase for Winter is worth discussing. So let's discuss it. It's 20 bucks more than what we paid for her incalls with RCC. That's not a big increase, I tip that much on most incall visits. It's neither unique or unusual for providers to charge a premium for outcall, because it's more convenient for some hobbyists. Also, the provider doesn't control the environment, so they don't know what they are walking into. That makes it a greater risk for them in terms of violence, robbery, or LEO. Any hobbyists who do incalls should be able to relate.

The flipside to that is that outcalls are much more profitable, because there is no room to pay for. Incall providers have some pressure to make the most of the room while they have it, while outcall providers can do as few appointments in a day as they choose. When I spoke to Winter on Wednesday, her side of the story was that she chose to leave RCC because she felt she wasn't making enough money. So this move makes sense. This means her donation is almost all profit, and there isn't any risk of losing money on a room if it's a slow day.

That's why it's so important that we don't rumormonger here. Making an accusation or implication about a provider regarding disease, drug use, pimps, ripoffs, etc should not be done lightly. The whole purpose of sharing information on this board is to give people a way of knowing where to find a good time with minimum risk to their safety and freedom. We need to remember that if we steer a hobbyist away from a good, safe provider that we may be leading them to consider riskier options. I'd hate to see someone here wind up getting robbed, arrested, or whatever else because some folks around here like to gossip.
