Strip Club Reports

Right now there are a handful of VIP bars, if half of those bars stops allowing extras the other half will raise their prices, it's called supply and demand. The supply goes down, the demand stays the same but the prices go up.

The supply would be the girls that provide the service would probably flock to the strip clubs outside of Detroit. While the physical space has diminished, I. E. , the number of strip bars providing extras, it doesn't necessary mean that the other bars stop providing extras. Now the supply and quality of girls may change across all the strip clubs, I. E. , blue collar vs. VIP, but that price differentiation already existed (I'm somewhat of a skeptic when I hear some of the "bargain basement" prices reported here at VIP clubs--but that's just me). You might see days when 12-15 girls are on days and double that number on nights (ah the good ole days). Assuming just a shift in supply, the more girls, the downward shift in the pricing for extras because of competition. I'm assuming this because all other factors are constant that impact demand. If there's a simultaneous shift in supply and demand, then it harder to gauge (some consumers forced out because of an increase in extra fees or bar prices).

Any how, I think some shift is definitely possible, but on the margins and not to the extremely. Then again, its all about how consumers respond to price changes. If people stop coming to the strip clubs, then they're out of business. Only time will tell.

So, the other morning listening to talk radio there was a report and interview w / chief Craig regarding new Federal $$$ that will be used to target strip clubs for sex trafficking arrests.

They always did raids but not to this level. It's going to be awkward for the detroit clubs to pivot to zero to limited extras. I except a few clubs to get rid of dayshift to just closing.

Normally what has happened is that the neighborhoods surrounding the clubs complain about the "spillover effects" of the clubs, I. E. , parking on side streets and some activities related to that parking such as prostitution and drugs, more serious crimes such as shootings and robberies (carjackings) and the like. The strip club owners use to have a rather powerful lobby group that would attend the City Council meetings when things got a tad too hot and proposed city ordinance changes or policy were going to impact their businesses (because yes, they do pay taxes too).

It will be interesting. The well-run clubs will survive and adjust to the increased scrutiny. The not so well run clubs will close.

I wonder if I should cancel my trip.

If you don't enjoy BT's just head west on Michigan and you'll find Criket, Flight Club, Bogarts and with a slight side trip, also Henry VIIIs and Landing Strip.

Anyone know of the girl at BT's named renae or something?

Both look great wonder how I can get in touch without using airline cell phone, don't have public phones around much. And you have to put in code to charge card.

Maybe they work at a club that would I have to visit more clubs.
