Korean Bar Reports

I know parking is a serious concern these days and I'm happy to provide info on parking, locations, and anything else. But please don't fill up people's inboxes with five messages asking the same question about the same establishment, lolz. Just come to the FM. This is my first time going, too, so no shame. As Oldee said, it's for anyone: lurkers, bar mongers, AMP guys, whatever. If you need parking tips or directions, I'll be wearing a red shirt and leather jacket, and I'm happy to draw you a map. Just be kind to my inbox. We all play for the same team; no one is going to dime you out.

Tried to check out CS but not one empty seat in the house so ended up at Club Kalani (formerly You & I). From what I saw, there's not much to write about here. Some chunky lady tried to be my "pah-to-nah" for the evening. Bought her one drink since she brought some food. Food was not bad though.

First bar dead and most FM mia or late! I supposse you guys coming later.

Get one cute bartender working tonite at Lucky Honu in Kalihi. Bar was full with guys trying to make time with this nice chika. Looks and sounds local, but found out she korean who went school here. I don't think she plays. I just sat and watched what was going on there.

Sitting with the FM guys having good time, LOL Mama san ask Oldee "you like girls", Oldee say " yea bad girls" A minute later mama comes with two girls, one for and one for Oldee. LOL I never ask for one girl, mama put a beer in front of me and tell me to pay. Lucky I had the guys was with me, cause I would've folded and gave my. 20. Sorry college student " inside joke". Was busy, but mama was too pushy.

First time going to an FM. First thought: Everyone should go to an FM. Lots of good info.

First stop: Camelot. Deader than John F. Kennedy. Drank two beers with a friend, then excused myself for a phone call. Couldn't get out fast enough. Saw a guy (monger, maybe) playing with an iPad on the couches. Most excitement the bar offered, aside from ESPN highlights.

Met Oldee outside. Really nice guy! Very inviting. He's serious when he says everyone should come to the FMs just to hang out and talk story, gather intel. Anyway, on to Moonflower. Wasn't paying much attention to the crowd, but learned about a potential Kepani provider. Going to check back in a few days, once my work schedule clears. For some reason, I really enjoy being in Moonflower. The atmosphere works for me. That aside, there weren't a ton of girls I'd want to play with, Kepani girl aside. And maybe a girl in a blue dress, Met Vapor, too. Another nice guy. FM guys are chillaxed and personable. Fun to be around. Oh, Michael Jackson was there, doing his thing. Dove into some Garth Brooks and Kenny Loggins, too. Guess he's expanding his repertoire.

Secrets. Well, the highlight was meeting another monger, someone closer to my age. Plenty of play available it seemed (we got asked a couple of times) , but I was again stricken by my high standards. In an AMP, when I know what I'm getting (more or less) , I'm slightly less exacting. In bars, though, I just can't bring myself to play unless I really want a girl. Good tips from fellow mongers about how to "dangle the carrot." Might go back, but only after exploring a bit more.

Twilight is always fun. Only saw three or four girls working, and only one or two with customers. At this point, I was just longing for imported beer. Bud Light and Heineken taste like water to me.

Final stop (for my lurker friend and I) : Casino. We weren't seated more than two or three minutes before MS brought two girls to the table. Plopped a bottle on the table, too, then asked for pay. Very aggressive. FMers confirmed that it was a total LVB bar, which I'd expected, but I think us younguns, and one guy in particular (not me) , did young mongers proud by NOT partaking or getting robbed. Going to have to go back, though, just to see how far I can push my luck without buying a neko for anyone. Two drink minimum, before I walk. Seriously, though, if the prices run higher than an AMP, then it's not worth my time. And I want to know what's in store up front or I'm not going to waste my time.

Bottom line: Good people, good intel, good snacks, and good fun. Next time around, hope to meet more people.

Too bad missed the first half of FM. Jehuty pulled an audible on me and got suprised with the trick west coast offense at EG.

Also didn't get flagged by the refs for my age. Good to feel old enough not to get. Ahem carded.

Oh yeah about Friday, I made some plays, not Tom Brady level though.

With braddah olds and lvb king *cough* Lumps. We stay eating cause its the only pogi we going eat for tonight. Vayps had for go home. Sorry me and Lumps came FM late had for attend one baptismal party. I offered one party in my pants for the BG's no takers. Meh next time ladies. Kiss Kiss.
