Skipthegames and LC / EA etc could be good if they even lifted their finger a nanometer to get rid of the spam. Is it really that hard to filter out everyone that lists their location as "downtown", "USA", "near you" etc? That would probably catch a good 80% of it with a few lines of code.
The spammers would probably adapt, but it would certainly help and they aren't the most intelligent people so it wouldn't be that hard to keep up with them.
