If you haven't already, block the number and delete the message. Do not under any circumstances respond to it. If you have any texts with a provider, delete those as well if you hadn't already. The reason why you do this is because you are preparing for the worst case scenario and they contact your family members. If you have no evidence on your phone then you can claim that it's a scam trying to phish for money (which it is) and that the texts are fake. Next, as another person wrote, get a phone app that will give you a second phone line (VOIP number). Never use your real number because that info is easy to find a name online. Hide the app within a folder and be prepared to uninstall it or burn the number after every use. It's a pain to constantly reinstall or change numbers, but the time used for that is much less than the time you will have to spend explaining yourself to family and friends.

The other option would be a gift card or visa debit card w / money on it, but that's ghetto. I guess it would be okay if you're single to use a card / venmo / cash app, but when you're married that's just a paper trail and evidence for your wife's divorce lawyer.
