Not directly useful to the thread but it is agency related so dropping it here anyway. I tried to fix a duplicate TER profile with Karen as I have done twice before to prevent the whole arguing about them doing it to dodge scores. I went back and forwards with TER for a few days and they weren't budging (image attached). I even agree with part of what the staff said. But the girl outright said her profile was 408197. Just know there is now proof that at least 'some' duplicate profiles out there are not allowed to be fixed.

However, more users have been reporting issues lately sitewide and several different places. So I share this knowledge thread for those who may be more at risk of the issues. yes, but (un?)fortunately I was experiencing none of those issues on my laptop (Win 11, Firefox, a version behind) so I can only parrot the things that others have suggested. But for the sake of being more thorough, I went and finally updated to the latest version(142.0) and started the process from the beginning.

So upon entering the site, it did give me the 502 error immediately, but removing the "s" from https continued to keep the site working as before I updated.

However, for a curiosity check, then I popped on my phone (AT&T, Chrome Browser, Android) and am getting the 502 consistently. Even more amusingly, I'm using the wifi from my phone to connect on my laptop. And then I tried it on my laptop in Chrome and had the same issue.

Firefox does already have the setting for "Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode" so perhaps that's why. And DNS over HTTPS (Cloudfare) which is something that was set a long time ago and I don't even really recall why lol. Either of these could be the reason I am facing no troubles.

Chrome claims it is off, but removing the s from https remains consistent and it continues to add the s back. Enabling the flag for #unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure also appears to have had no effect. Ultimately, nothing fixed it here as well until I did some VPN rotations (LA was not working with my particular service after 5 retries, Japan worked, and Kansas City worked after about 3 attempts). Turning the VPN off afterwards, it continued to work until I closed and opened a new incognito window where it died again.

I never put the VPN version on my phone but went ahead for completeness, struggled a lot more trying to get a server that would let me through, but it eventually did.
