I never have personally but I have done some reading up on them. Expensive is what I took away from my research. Plus, in some cases you have no control over your lady. She is just assigned to you. Others, you pick one and she is with you the entire time. You can't swap them out.
I just decided to take that same money and go to Vegas every year. Same results but a lot more fun! Going again this year with a layover in Atlanta on the way out to take in the SEC Championship game.

I went down to blackbeards last year, Nice resort everything you need is there girls, food, beer. The beach is maybe a 5 minute walk. The place is secure they have a night watchmen, safes in the rooms.

There may have been a time when such places made sense, but in this modern era with so much FREE info out on the web it is unneccessary and just plain wasteful to spend that sort of money on a foreign mongering trip. It is really not so hard that you need someone to hold your hand on a prepackaged tour or go to some all in one resort (Blackbeards is called a resort but is not an all-in-one or prepackaged outfit like the ones I think you were referring to).
Some of these packaged adult vacation outfits are just out and out rip-offs. Often the ads are somewhat vague in some of the key details and it is there where you'll get shortchanged. Even when they deliver as they "promise", there are often (though not always) those various shortcomings of that approach that Wook spoke of. Usually you have some ability to switch but are still limited to their small stable of girls.
And I have yet to see ANY package deal that didn't cost AT LEAST TWICE AS MUCH (sometimes even 3-4 times as much) as what it would cost you to put it together on your own. So if you were thinking of going for one of those packages and weren't concerned about the price, there is absolutely no need for you to go to Las Vegas instead which is ALSO RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. For the same price you could go to one of these other countries and LIVE LIKE A KING for the same amount of time.
I haven't stayed at Blackbeards but I believe that is a different case. You pay for your airfare, for your stay and for whatever chicas you choose seperately. The fact that all those chicas are there in one place certainly makes things easier but you'll still probably want to check out what other offerings they have at other places in the same area. Costa Rica has a similar set up with the Hotel Del Rey. There are some guys who go to CR and barely ever step outside of that building. I think they're crazy and really missing out on a lot, but there are some guys like that.
That all being said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist or even a seasoned international traveler to put together a completely independent trip on your own. Like I said there is more than enough completely free info on-line and tons of guys that will help guide you (both on-line AND once you get there). Like Clinton said, you should start with ISG which covers virtually any country in the entire world you'd ever want to go. Some countries are covered better than others, but that will also help indicate which countries might be the best places to go. If you're interested in Costa Rica, you should google "Costa Rica Ticas" to find the best info on that country.
