I won't be going back for that reason alone and I apologize to the next guest for the damp towel. Straight home and showered!

In my experience, TB & SO has always been good about changing sheets while I'm getting dressed so I don't worry. But if I am unsure about a place or know they don't change, like your experience from cherry, I will ask them to change the sheets / towels when they take me to the room but before I pay. They always have. Once a lady told me it was clean but I was willing to walk if she didn't change them. I'm not laying in the dude before me.
