Maybe it is some well known part of the sex worker culture that I am unaware of, but I thought it was weird the first few times happened to me.

I have had a similar experiences as C6 DM2 with other providers. I have seen the provider before and schedule another meeting. I confirm that they are still offering X and Z and the rate. Just standard stuff you do to avoid a haggle / renegotiation after they arrive or to catch a recent price change. When something has changed, I mention that I noticed the change from last time. Normally one of two things happens.
