I will dig deeper and try to stay in contact with her to find out more, and get some insight. My first thought it, she is dumb as a box of rocks but street-smart as hell, and I could probably convince her to do something better for herself or point her in the right direction. Not that I'm trying to save ANY of these girls we post about on here, but it's tough hearing a broke ass girl get yelled at after being stuck out in the rain all day in wet clothes.

The whole point is to have an advantage over those trying to screw us over or worse. You lose that advantage when you clue in the "opposition. Hi, all. I used to be kind of active on another section of this board, up north in the land CookyJar made famous, but a couple of years ago I moved to the Triangle and the hobby got away from me, or me from it. Anyway, I didn't log on for a while.

Now, I'm here with a question. First some background: one of the reasons I got away from the hobby is the addition of an FWB for the past year or so. [/QUOTE]Locally I don't make use of hotels -- my FWB and I have a few places we can find some quiet -- but when I do, I make extensive use of the AMEX or Visa gift cards that you can get most anywhere. I load a few hundred on them, link them to a Priceline account, and reserve my room that way. I don't care if the front desk staff look at my I'd, I do care if that I'd is linked to something requiring an explanation. You can always find some hotels in the $40-80 range for "right now" usage. At the $80 end, you'll have nice sheets, a big shower, and quiet.

On the one occasion the desk clerk asked about my stay, I just said I was in the area for a training and needed a place to shower and rest before a business dinner.

Gift cards are your friend -- they just look like an expensive something you bought at Target if someone looks at your credit card statement.
