Where do you have proof that Obama will increase your federal taxes. That is a fact under GWB and will be a fact under McCain. The folly of the federal returns issued by GWB is that you get it applied to next years tax. Read the code. Obama stated very clearly in his speech this past week and has been very clear in the past, that those making under 250,000 k a year will experience a TAX CUT. Do you make more than 250k Glenn? A quick look at the current tax code and percentages of those being taxed will show that the advantage leans towards the uber wealthy while the middle class shoulders th e burden. Is it fair that a billionaire like Warren Buffet pays a lower percentage in taxes than the average working family? He himself has said that it is not fair.
What social programs? Or did you miss the welfare reforms of the 90's. Do better than to just spit out talking points from people like Limbaugh and Hannity. Not everybody can pull themselves up by their bootstraps and most often don't even have the boots to do it.
As a former member of the NRA and a gun owner I am not threatened by by regulations to ban or regulate certain types of weapons, like cheap handguns and ones like the one in your picture. Why do you need a weapon like that in an urban environment? What are you out hunting? The framers of our constitution did not have in mind what the extrememists of the NRA leadership would want us to believe. Doesn't seem odd to you that the first President Bush publically resigned from the NRA?

Without wanting to get too much into it, there's one thing I don't get: I understand some people around here being libertarian, but plain republican? A good deal of them GOPers are religious fundies that would send us to rot in jail just for visiting a website like this.

My luck was soooo bad yesterday, I saw the most BUTT UGLY women I have EVER seen in my life. I packed it in and ran for safety. I mean over the hill either in age, or looks. There was a lot to choose from if you have been in prison for the last 10 years and had your eyes poked out.

As far as domestic spying goes, don't you remember Brother Bill's CLIPPER initiative? fortunately that died a horrible and painful death, but the intent was the same: Big Politicians want to control you.
Just look to California. In south central LA, they've established a ban on new "fast food" eateries because eating "fast food" isn't particularly healthy. Of course all that does is drive that market to the existing "fast food" joints, giving them a shared [i]de jure[/i] monopoly. And then there was the whole thing about having remote access to your thermostat, so that some faceless government worker could set your thermostat to a more environmentally favorable position. I think that's been killed, but will likely rise again from the dead.
But that's all done to "protect" you from your own inability to live life and to accept the consequences thereof. And you think they'd let you continue a mongering? that would be oppressive to women, dontcha know?
