They have the resources to 'back stop' a fake I'd, so for a minimal investment of time and money, they can get verified and know that whatever officer they send out will be sure to get an arrest. If the service that suffers the bust passes the word onto the verification site, they can delete the I'd, but the damage is done. The different services that depend on sites like RS-AVS will be less inclined to trust them, and in turn, RS-AVS and other sites like it will no longer be trusted by mongers to do their job.

1) how did this LE guy pass RS-AVS screening in the first place? Or did some monger got caught somewhere else and then cut a deal to help LE? If so, that is f**k up.

I was all set for my sign up. I just didn't want to use my personal CC so I had to buy a gift card to use. I was literally days away from signing up. Is it worth it now? This is truly fucked up. Hard to know exactly how this happened but it would not surprise me if a monger got busted and offered LE a "bigger fish" in return for leniency?

Verification services like RS2 K do check employment so it would be tough but not impossible to get verified, so I suspect another angle was used. Too bad for the gal.

I can only hope that when she gets the new phone number she will text it to ALL that have used the service. Because of work travel I have not been there in several months. Hope she goes back all year for who she sends the new number out to.
